What part of the state do you prefer?

North Carolina has mountains, plains or piedmont and the coast. What is your favorite area of the state. I enjoy the foothills of the mountains the best. You are close to the mountains and their beauty. I like the beach, but will only visit the area; I'm not interested in living on the coast at all! Hurricanes and tropical storms scare the heck out of me. So what part of NC do you like best?

Actully I am living in India and which state I am living that is centre state i.e. New Delhi.

I love the North Carolina beaches. But I also love the mountains too. I haven't been in a while though unfortunately. I hope to get back there in this upcoming year. With that said I truly love were I live. It's out in the country with lots of trees and water. Nearest town is kind of small but it has everything I need. NC is a great state I am proud to live here. :)

I like the foothills and piedmont the best, although the beaches and the mountains of North Carolina are the best. I'm going to have to say though that I love King better than most cities around the state, and boy is it growing fast. And you don't have to deal with the winter storms like the mountains have or the tropical storms like the beaches have. This area around Winston is just beautiful.
