How do you decorate your home on festivals??

Well.Do you have habit of decorating your home on festivals?We do.We plan a month before what and how should we decorate our home.I love to decorate our house with new paintings and wall hangers(i will do them personally) on every important festivals and never forget to keep frest flower pots on our living room.........How do u decorate..any new idea???

In my home, we do not have the habit of decorating for festivals except for Chinese New Year. Chinese New Year is a big festival in the eyes of my mum. She would prepare for it at least 2 months in advance, ensuring the walls are cleaned if not washed, the curtains, the windows etc. everything need at least a wash. And fresh flowers on the dining table is a must during this festive season.

WOW! you plan so early, wonderful! I should pay a visit to your home on a festive occasion(J/K).
No, We do not decorate specially in a way you described, we just do the necessary decoration, like what the festival demands, it's more a decoration to the idols that are worshipped on that particular day than the home. We keep the home extra clean on that day and give it a fresh, tidy, well maintained look.

If you come to my living room, you will be surprised that my room is so dirty . so i don't have the habit of decorating my house . Do you think i am too lazy?
