boot camps in principle are a good idea, take a badly behaved child and hand them over to professional people that can teach them to lead more productive and well behaved lives, and in many cases that works out fine.
but my problem with these places has more to do with the parents that send their kids to them than the places themselves.
basically these parents have done a shoddy job at bringing up their children, they have let their children live in a way that they have no boundaries, diceplin or respect and so they feel the need to pass their "problems" on to someone else.
boot camps do a wonderful job, but really they shouldn't be necissary... go back a few decades to when my parents were kids and these places weren't even thought of!

If nothing a parent does for their child works, and then they definately need to seek outside help like a boot camp, then yes that is what they must do, but to be honest I don't think that boot camps are really needed in most cases where children are sent to them.
