From the books to the television series about the eccentric overweight detective, I have loved these mystery classics. It always amazes me that more people are not fans. so if you are a fan or at least enjoy the books from time to time. Let me here from you.
The A&E series with Timothy Hutton was the best of all the productions I think. The novel way that they had regular players playing different characters each week made all the more fun. And what do you say?

The only thing I can say is that I WHOLE-HEARTEDLY AGREE!!!
Timothy Hutton is so good as Archie Goodwin that I think Rex Stout surely had him in mind when he wrote the first book, in spite of the fact that Timothy wasn't even born yet.
I totally share your views about the excellence of that production and could never 'sing it's praises' enough!
