Good idea. Being a gator, he can't be sued, either.

That moat idea I had dosen't sound so bad. Build a fenced moat around the jail & fill it with all the gaters who have attacked people. The gators can have their own jail plus actually serve a purpose, keeping human murderers inside, or saving us the trouble of executing them. Its a win/win.

This is good, although I don't think killing the crime control gator is a real good deal.
I mean look at all of the years of training that he had to go through just to reach that one defining moment in his life.
He actually did society a favor and was killed for his trouble... what's the point in that?

Shhhh... that's the rest of the secret. They don't really kill the gator. They move him to a new area. Do you think he got to be 9 foot long eating "gator kibbles" ?

Hey Red,
A friend pointed out this story to me yesterday, and I laughed so hard it hurt.
Ya' know Red, I actually do have an idea of how these kinds of gators could be used to prevent crime, but if I ever mentioned it in this forum, I'd be competing with you for your personal Star rating. So, I'll just let sleeping dogs lie. Let me just say that my idea has to do with the number one issue on American minds for some months now. And, let me say no more!

Well, I'm sure this is not what you meant, but there are those who would advocate widening and deepening the Rio Grande River and infesting it with this kind of gator. But I'm not one of those kind of people!
Seriously, though I did read where a number of local officals near the border advocate widening and deepening the Rio Grande as an alternative to building a fence.
How much more would it be to buy some gators, water moccassins, coral snakes, and just a few pirhanna? It could be sold as an ecological friendly "green" solution to illegal immigration.
