Alright there are alot of people upset that their discussions are getting deleted (some rightly so). I have just reread all the rules, which took a while. First and foremost discussions can be deleted just because, without any notification or warnings once so ever. Which seems unfair but that's what it says. As we all learned a while back jokes are no longer accepted as a way to start a discussion, and upon further reading you can no longer use a discussion starter either. It also states no donation requests or charity posts.
Now for everyone losing their discussions in the "making extra money" interest, the rules are a bit confusing. But I will give you my interpetation of them. In the faq section it tells you how to add your websites to your HMTL sortie under "Can I Display My Own Personal Website On Mylot" It also states right there to keep all this info on your profile page and NOT to post any of them in discussions or responses. Personally I think for some of the discussions that get to stay, it's all in how they are presented.
I have not had any of my discussions deleted yet *knock on wood* I have lost on a few posts though, but I knew that when I posted in some of those discussions. You need to remember many interest catagories are started by Mylot members.
Has this helped anyone or just made things more confusing?

Well that surely makes sense to me, I know that these will give better explanation to those who thinks they can only post everything here just because this is a discussion site!LoL
I like the interpretation you've made here, this is what I think the admin wants us to do. To keep the reputation of their site, as well as their interests. Besides, we are only using this site and we are just their "loyal subjects" so better make GOOD use of it!;)

Mylot must also learn that "loyal subjects" will go elsewhere or "rebel" when things become to "one-sided" Raijin
I am glad it made sense to you because when I wrote about the joke, the other thing was suppose to be recipes, but I just noticed I missed that word lol

It helps!!! I am still confused, but that's MyLots fault, not yours!!! I don't think I have had any discussions deleted yet. ***Knock on wood as well*** Unless I missed them. How do you know if you have had one deleted? Are you notified? Or does it just vanish?

Hi mfpsassy,
You've made some good points here, and hopefully it will be of help to many others. I usually tend to steer clear of the 'making extra money' category, as I'm never quite sure what's acceptable. Thanks for your recent help with my 'comments page problems.' Take Care.

You make a good point about putting links in your profile instead of listing them in discussions. Then you can let people know they are there, and they can choose to look at them or not. The guidelines are a bit confusing in some places. When in doubt, you should ask other members, ask mylot, or err on the side of caution.

Hello Sillychick and Welcome to Mylot
Being cautious is the best way to go. Most of us can only give you the answer as it is stated in the rules. Contacting Mylot is the best way to find out. I think alot of people just assume it's okay because they see others doing it
