If you didn't see on ESPN.com, Eric Wedge has officially been given the title of AL Manager of the Year. With that happening and I didn't realize he was the 1st one in Indians history to pull off the feat. He lead the team to a tie for the best record with the Red Sox and took the team to the post-season just this season. If you look back at the 2006 season and just last season, you could see a dramatic change in teams.
This is mainly covering the regular season. I have to say the award was rather deserving to be honest. Again, I thought Cleveland did have some people who won that award. At least they're getting a little bit of some respect. That's the one thing I know they haven't gotten much of.
Surprised by this? I wasn't to tell you the truth. He did a great job for the team and I think he got what was deserved. Plus, I think with the job he did for the Indians since he's become manager, they've become for the most part a solid team and could grow even further.
Do you see this going further and possibly translating into bigger things for Cleveland? I sure hope so and would like to see this help lead to a championship. By championship, you know what I'm talking about, the big one. I think they can do it and hopefully with him and Sabathia getting awards, this'll lead to an even better season with even better results.

Congrats to Eric Wedge. At points I was really upset with some stuff he did during the season, but I really think he did a good job when it really mattered. I really see him taking the Tribe even further. I guess we'll just have t wait and see.

Yeah we will for sure. He's made some bad moves in the regular season but overall, he got the job done for that team when they needed him to. I have to agree, I do see him going further than ever. With that type of confidence, it could help lead them further.
