No because I don't believe in hell so if someone were to say that to me I would laugh.

It wouldn't hurt my feeling, just like some other users said.
My ex-husband family was very religious and I am not a religious person at all. They wanted me to believe like they are and one day I mentioned that it's my choice and I have a right to be what I want to be. My ex's whole family (his parents, his aunts/uncles etc.,)said to me that "The you are going to hell".All I did was laugh. I simply don't believe in hell....and the worst thing is there are people who makes you worry by saying that type of stuff.... :(

Not me.when they say I am going to hell or I won't be saved,it is like they are giving up on trying to convert me. Yea! I am free.

LOL naw, it doesnt hurt my feelings at all and in all honesty I find it rather amusing really..I mean ppl who say things like that to me OBVIOUSLY not only don't know me at all but they really don't know their own religion either and thats not only a sad reality but a funny one all at the same time :-D

In my opinion this depend on the occasions .If I know the person was angry or only kidding ,I would feel it free,if not ,I think I would feel angry and what how could he/she say that ?

To be frank i dont believe in this hell and heaven.i believe both hell and heaven are out here on earth.you live a god life ,you feel it is heaven, other wise you feel it as hell.anyway all the same it matters how you live your life.so even if some one says i will go to hell ,i just laugh at it and thats all.what i am bothered about is i should never cause any problems to any other beings in earth and if possible help them.if you have trust in yourself, you dont have to bother about what others say.anyway happy mylotting dear friend.

Hmmm. I guess it makes me sad more than anything. Not that they think I am going to hell, but that they believe in such a place, and follow a deity cruel enough to send me there for no reason other than not being a part of their religion.
I already feel free to follow my own path, so I guess it doesn't affect me in that way. And since I don't believe in their hell, it doesn't scare me or make me angry. Though it does make me angry when people malign my Gods by saying they are faces of the Christian devil or something, just as it would make me angry if someone insulted my loved ones.

Well if you a following a religion merely because someone said if you do not follow their religion you are going to hell, well that is the wrong way to choose one. Any belief that says you can do anything you please even though it is wrong, is not that good.
Let's say that you are an ax murderer (to give an example), and someone from either the Christian or Jewish belief says, what you are doing is wrong and that by going around chopping peoples's heads off (and you are not working as an executioner and therefore what you do is illegal), you are going to hell. So in a huff, you say you are now free to follow a religion of your choosing and guess what? There is a religion, the worship of Kali. She was the one worshiped by the Thugs in India, and she allowed murder in her name.
So you cannot depend on what makes you feel good, it is what is supposed to be right that should determine your course.

But what is right and true for me religiously may not be right for you. That is what I meant when I said it is freeing.Breaking the law is breaking the law .But there are many things that one religion deems okay that another deems unholy. The one big example is homosexuality. It isn't a crime. But there are religions that think a gay person is going to hell. Period. And then there are religions that except gays.

Being as I don't believe any such place exists I fall back on an old family saying: va fa Napoli which means the same as go to hell but says go to Naples (which for some Italians is the same thing, LOL) so I immediately think I'm gonna wind up in Naples, Italy.
Convoluted but true.
I'm glad you feel free from being sent to hell, Sarah! :-)

My relatives who have been there call Napoli the "armpit of Italy" so it must not be very good. Due to overcrowding, crime, pollution, etc.
That's even considering the dire poverty and joblessness of the Calabria region (the toe of the boot) where we have relatives, also. Calabria is very pretty but has no money.

I would not. Who knows where you are going? God gave us a free will. Even God wants us to go to heven, would He know what you will? so f someone tells me I am going to hell. The person does not really know what he is talking about, period.

No in any situation.
If he told me that I am going to hell because of my wrong doing and if he can show me sufficient evidences based on the bible, I would definitely be thankful he told me that. It means he's concerned for my soul.
However, if a person told me that and he cannot give founded proof from the bible, I will feel sorry for him because he might not know what he is saying.

I won't be hurt. i'll be angry! because no one has the right to tell me where I am going after I die. no one can know that except for God. I will really be angry especially if that person is from another religion. a Catholic like me doesn't have the right to tell me where i'll be going after I die, much more someone from a different religion with different beliefs! they can't condemn me for something that is bad to them butis not bad to us. they can't condemn me if I am doing contrary to their beliefs. that's just ridiculous. they should mind their own business.
