Do you like when people put "labels" on others..?

DO you like it when people put "labels"on others ..and by doing so cause others to shy away from friendship with them?
I remember there was a certain forum where a group labeled people and if you fell into that category..you were constantly made fun of and if you had something to say ignored.

There's a good side and a bad side to this discussion. In the case you are talking about it's a bad case.
I think everyone has nicknames/labels for people, not all people just some.
I remember my ex husband and his friend had nickname's for quite a lot of people, it was funny to them of course. The labeled party's had no idea about there nickname's from my ex and his friend, so I couldn't see the harm.
As long as no ego's are spoilt I carn't see the harm in it.

I am not thinking of nicknames..or I would have said "nicknames" I said Labeling..and perhaps you dont know what labeling is? Here I am referring to people merely by some trait..if they have mental retardations..people say " he's retarded" instead of just seeing the person as the same as they are.. Nicknames are one thing and labeling is another..
I had a nickname too..and wouldnt call it labeling..
Labeling "scum" "no good" its names that people of one class usually give to another class which they think is lower then them..
For example.. the rich ones in the church who keep their snoots in the air and wont associate with "those" because they are not dressed right.

Hi littlefranciscan! i do not put labels on others and I don't want being labeled as well. I think people who do this are some kinda sick and insecure themselves. Feeling more superior than others somehow make you look more foolish and people will just think that you are feeling so insecure and so rotten inside. Anyway, it is downright rude and disrespectful to do such a thing to other people. Take care and have a nice day.
