Whats everyone think of the rising cost of tuition? I'm a college student now and my freshmen year it was about 6500/semester with 12 credits and living on campus so about 13k a year at a university. Now its about up to 8500/semester. I think that the government should step in and help college kids more with financial aid. Especially in certain situations like my own. So i fill out the fasfa right hoping to get some money, but they take my Dad's and my Mom's income in it. Thinking that my family contribution should be like 30k. Wrong, they have a philosophy of make it on your own and don't help out. Government aid should make exceptions to these circumstances.

I think it's absolutely ridiculous and something should be done about it. Every eligible citizen in the US should get free or at least discounted college education if you ask me. If you want the US to be better in the future more should be done about education instead of paying lip service like it is now. It's true that financial aid has all but disappeared.
I want to know if the educational system has really gotten any better that they can justify the ridiculously rising cost? I graduated college over a decade ago and I thank God I didn't have to take out any loans and graduated debt free. Now students are graduating with staggering debt to start out with. I fear it will get so bad that only the rich can afford to go to college and that will have a devastating impact on the society.
My advise for anyone about to start college is to start early and apply for all the scholarships you can even if you think you might not qualify apply anyway. Get summer jobs and save all you can to avoid taking out loans that will have you in debt for decades of your life.

Hi,there! Well,I do think the tuitions these days are becoming higher and higher.Nowadays especilly for college students, the fees are somehow really not low at all. There're many students who are capable to enter the very good universities but can't afford to go there. That's a pity! I think the government should try to decrease the tuitions somehow and take some measures to help those poor students. What do you think?
