I know we all have had some pretty crappy jobs in our lifetime. I was just wondering what was the WORST job you've ever had? Personally, I've had a lot of crappy jobs.
I'd say the worst was my previous job, before I moved to Florida. I worked at a factory, timing workers do their jobs. Mostly, I didn't have anything to do, because I had to wait for specific parts to come through, and start from the very beginning. I mostly read or did puzzle books all day. That wasn't the bad part, though. I had to be to work at 3:30 am!! Every morning!! And, as you might imagine, it gets mighty cold in Indiana in the winter months. There was no heat in the factory-NONE. The only heat I could get was to stand by an oven. I wore 3 pair of long johns, jeans, a turtleneck, a sweatshirt, carhart coat, earmuffs, and 2 pair of gloves. It was AWFUL!! And it was the absolute dirtiest place to work I've ever seen. It was a steel casting company, and there was all this black crap floating around in the air constantly. I'd go home, and have a ring around my nostrils from breathing it in every day. I worked 10 hour days, 5 days a week. And I saw people that had worked there for 20 years, who were only making $12 per hour.
The funny thing is, I got the best job I've ever had, directly after the worst job I ever had. Now, I work as an accounting assistant, get paid $4 more per hour, get paid for 40 hours a week, and I only really work 37 1/2 hours, if I'm lucky. My bosses leave early a lot, and when they go, I do too, and they still pay me for the whole day. I LOVE MY JOB! And, boy, am I glad I got away from that other place!!Tell me about your worst job.

The worst job I ever had was in a processing plant, chickens. We had to put on a smock and a bunch of plastic, go into a wet, cold plant and pack chicken legs in boxes. The legs came flying down into the bins splashing blood and water in your face, on your lips and it was cold. They worked you as hard as they could and if you did get to rest, outside of breaks, you could feel the cold creeping in. When the line started back up you were stiff but working warmed you up. I worked there a year, decided that if that's what I had to do to make a living, well I just wouldn't make one. At that time the starting pay was 7.90hr. Now it is 7.25. I've heard rumors the place may have to shut down, well if you ask me, they need to. There's more to the story but not going to tell it here.

That sounds absolutely repulsive!! I don't know how you did it! That definitely beat the worst of the worst job I've had! I can't believe you had chicken blood splatterning in your face. That must have been so gross! And to have to endure that for (pardon the pun) chicken fee. lol. I don't know how you lasted a year. I wouldn't have lasted one day! Way to hang in there. If you could do that, you could probably handle any job in the world.
