NCAE stands for National Career Assessment Examination.
It is given to 4th year graduating students in the Philippines. The NCAE was designed to evaluate the abilities of the students developed since first year. The result will serve as a guide to the student what career/course they will pursue in college which is matched to their capabilities.
It is similar to the abolished NCEE.

i think it is different from NCEE. NCEE has a failing grade while NCAE does not. failing NCEE means one cannot take a 4 year course degree while NCAE will just advise a student on what course/s is/are suited for him/her.
we often hear that education in the philippines is going bad to worse. something must be done to reverse this trend.
NCEE has good points in evaluating students capability and aptitude for college. i believe we should rethink if NCEE should be applied again. there are some students who are simply not fit for 4 year college because of poor preparation in high school. there are vocational training that can be offered to those who wanted a degree.

Thanks for the corrections!Yeah, i stand corrected. NCAE is different from NCEE. Since the latter result is used whether a freshman student can take 4 year courses or if failed, they have no choice but take 2year courses or related vocational/technical courses.
And as per your assessment about our educational system, we have same observation. I think I like NCEE than this NCAE. Before, students tried their best to pass this exam, because it is their career passport. Also, students study habit was much more great before, because everyone wants to pass.

I think NCEE is better than the NCAE... In NCEE, students are motivated to study and review more because everyone wants to pass the exam. While on this NCAE, since students have pre-knowledge that it will just be used as guide in choosing their career, they do not give their best. Knowing NCAE result will not be a requirement in entering college, so the result didn't give too much impact on the part of the students. Most students think, if you have the capacity and the financial capability, you can choose whatever course you want to pursue. I believe DepEd should study about these national examinations/assessmen NCEE, NSAT, NCAE etc....
