What's your feelings about December 21, 2012?

I hadn't heard about December 21, 2012 before until yesterday. Supposiviely that is the day that the world is going to end. My boyfriend was showing me a lot of stuff on the computer and he said that it's been in the news alot before. He showed me a you tube tribute that someone had made for the day, and it was very thought provoking. This morning I decided to look some stuff up on my own. I'm surprised that I had not heard about this before. Should it be something we worry about? Is it some fluke thing the way the world was when we hit the millenium in 2000? I don't know what to believe about this. That is only five years away and if it's true, that really isn't alot of time. I don't know what to think about this, and I really don't know a whole lot about it to say if I believe or not. I have heard about such things many times but it never happened...I have heard that world is going to end near 2050.These things always come and are very interesting but everything is rumours..You really dont know when the world will end..

It's really interesting to read all of the different opinions about it and everyone's different feelings. I never realized until I heard about this date, all of the several OTHER dates that have been claimed as the end of the world.

sorry, but i dont think the world will end at 2012. at most some calamity might occur but not the end of the world. the theories is just theories, don't believe them. even if its the of the world what could you do? if you live your life to your fullest everyday, this wouldn't be a concern.

Well, I don't know if I believe it. It seems like there have been a lot of times the world was going to end by a specific date. I'd hope that its not true because my kids won't get to have much of a life. I guess the best thing to do is to make the most out of your life at all times because you never know when things are going to end.

That is true. I keep thinking back to 1999, when they said when the clock rolled to 2000, that would not be good for us. Here we are 8 years later....
