As everyone else has said, the options are in the BIOS. What motherboard do you have? Some motherboards are better for overclocking than others. The most important thing is that you take it slowly and monitor your temps. Typically that proc should idle between 30 and 38 while reaching 40 to 45 at full load. I would recommend pushing it to 1.85 for a few days, then 1.9. I think that proc can hit 2.2 on stock cooling, but you have to be careful.

hello praveenkalias1981, for the best and easiest way, is using a biostar tforce based motherboard, for newbie also best, there is allready an automatic overcloking bios step .. from step 1 to 3 ... I'm ussually use this .. fast to do and not bad at all at result^.^, I allready try it several times and works for many2 hours each starting computer (usually arround 7 hours straight)

Overclocking cpu is not a safe action to do, but if you want to you have to monitor the temperature before and after the overclock.
To overclock your cpu, like other recent processors, you have to go to the BIOS of your motherboard and increase to bus speed, because cpu multiplier is locked.

It may harm your computer if you don't have the proper cooling for the cpu. Have you put a different fan on it or just using the stock default fan. If so then I wouldn't recommend to over clock it. Most over clocking is done in the motherboard bios. Changing the front side bus and the multipliers (front side boss x multiplier = cpu speed). To get into most bios press F2, or F8 on your keyboard during the POST screen.
