Can someone please explain the star system to me???

If you hover over that star, you'll see a rating ... for instance, yours is currently 95/100. The fact that you've gone down means someone rated one of your posts negatively OR that you've been posting negatively when it wasn't deserved .. and mylot adjusted your rating. Some people haven't really grasped the rating scale, and simply rate down a post they don't like or agree with. The terms specifically state rating is to identify spam or off topic posts, and the only posts that should be negatively rated are those that are directly insulting, or that are obvious spam. If they're on topic and add to the discussion in any way, they should be rated positively. But, not everyone reads the rules. So, if you've received several negative rates, your rate will go down. Mylot will also 'punish' negative raters who've been rating people down against the terms by lowering their own rating. Bah .. hope that made sense. Too many 'ratings' involved in that description, lol.

Hi, I also not understand really about the star work. And i don't to care much :) I just try to do the best that i can in here, by posting and makes my earnings grows. But i know, the star can go up and down. I see at the moment your rating 95/100, with little bit hard work you will up again with blue star. Oh...about your question, i do check something for you. I think you mihgt be now having an idea about rating.its all about your popularity in mylot with ten star being the best.once if you rating is down its because of the negative responses that you might have posted.also i think the star has an effect on the response you are posting that is if you have a ten star then you get the maximum for your replies.iam not quite sure about it,but i think it is so.

I just realized my star is no longer 10 just now. but I can't see the rating anyway so why is it a big deal. It doesn't affect earnings at all either. What I earned when I was 6 and when I 10 was no difference. I don't remember anymore how it works, therefore I can't care less :)

I've been wondering about that myself ever since I made my 100th post. Overall, it looks like \I have a fairly good reputation on this website (a 7). Don't know about the colour system. Perhaps I should re-read about the system again...
