I just received a message from a "girl" on myspace. It had this whole thing about moving near me and not knowing anybody and hinting that she hopes I don't have a girlfriend.
Of course, there is no profile pic, but there is a picture of a cute blond in the about me section. Then in the description, she says how she is moving, and if she emailed you, then she is interested in you because you live where she is moving.
Never once does it say where she is moving to. It is quite obvious that the messages are copy and pasted so that it would sound like it was directed to however came to the site.
How lame, it was so obvious from the beginning. However, I can only assume that people fall for it, because why would they do it, if it didn't actually work? It is made to attract desperate guys, and then they will hit you some point with signing up for a dating service. Even if you don't pay money, they will probably try to get your email on a list to bug you for the rest of your life!!
