Do you spend Thanksgiving with your family or your in-laws?

My family (mother and sisters) always spends Thanksgiving with their husbands family. This year I'm getting a turkey for my Grandma and Grandpa. They always make Thanksgiving but not many people show up. I figure I will spend as many Thanksgivings that I can with them so I'm starting a new tradition for myself this Thanksgiving. What do you do for Thanksgiving? Is it your decision, your significant others decision or a mutal decision? HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

We used to spend Thanksgiving with my family. Now that we have moved we have no family near us we are going to celebrate it with some friends of ours. I miss being with the family though.

I'm sorry to hear that you don't have your family near. I moved away from my family once but I missed them too much and had to go back home. I hope you have a great Thanksgiving with your friends.

My wife and I have only been together for two Thanksgivings, so we've actually made the concession to split it every year. Last year, our first together, we spent it with my family because Thanksgiving really is the biggest of all the holidays with my family. Of coursr, this Thanksgiving will be with her family because we moved closer to her family.

yEA, it's always been a split decision for us, my parents and brothers and sisters, or my family and kids! I usually wind up attending both, but last year I couldn't make it to my kids' get-together, so this year I'm going to theirs!

We for the last few years we've been combining the dinner. We usually have it at our home so both our parents can attend. Last year we had it at my parent's and my inlaws come - this year we'll be doing the same.

I host Thanksgiving at my house and I have my mom (my father is no longer with us) my aunt and my mother in law ( my father in law live over 2000 miles away) so I guess ou would say I spend it with my family and my in laws. I still need to get the rest of the groceries for Thanksgiving dinner.
