Kameee, Hameee Waaave!!! Dragonball into a live action movie!!!

my son will sure be excited about this. yes you are being too idealistic...lol. stephen chow and james wong are just being realistic thats why they would settle for Justin Chatwin to play the lead role. sorry to say but it is all about the money. making a film is so expensive that they need to earn double (or triple) than what they pay for as expences for the film. for example jacky chan he has a lot of movie that his co stars are also chinese but it was not that big hit. but when he started getting hollywood actors as co-stars then it all hit the top. maybe (just maybe) that is one of the reason why producers will settle with Justin than Asian actor. but anyways i'm looking forward to see this film with my children of course, then we will know if Justin is worth to be Son Goku. Shinpai shinaide kudasai. hugs.

I prefer Stephen Chow to play as Son Goku... Jackie Chan is another choice too... Another chinese guy who can play that role is another Hong Kong actor but I forgot his name. He plays great kung fu. He have plays the role as Fong Sai Yuk, monkey of the Journey To the West and many more.

Personally I think it should be anime. I would actually wonder if that could be done. That's one of those things I've never thought too closely on whether it would be good or not. It would have to depend on a lot of factors being that the producers know what Dragonball is. I could have pictured anime but this could work if done correctly and as long as they present it in a way that does it justice, then I will be happy. I think it more depends on who looks the part like you watch a live action movie and you can believe that guy is the character he looks like. For example, in the Spiderman, Toby McGuire makes you think he's actually Spiderman due to how he's portrayed. I know this is off the wall but just a thought.

Hello! Kamee, Hamee Waave! Oh my brother would be very excited about this movie! he's a Dragonball fanatic! lol...I like this anime too...it's fun. I reckon the reason why they chose Justin Chatwin is because they want the movie to cater the international viewers. But it doesn't really matter who plays who as long as the movie will turn out great especially the effects. It should at least look realistic and convincing. Stephen Chow is a good-funny actor, he could be great for the role. But hey! let's just wait and see..*hehehe* can't wait! haha.. yeah :) dragonball is finally coming out with the movie :) i hope it will be as nice as the animation as the graphic do matters alot here :) i agree with u that they should use an asian for SOn Goku instead of caucasian.. i think i've lost my excitement. i thought it was stephen chow to take the role of goku. yeah, same here, i think it should be asians, or japanese actors, to portray the role of dragon ball characters. and if they were worried about the super saiyan characters wherein they appear to be caucasians, that wouldn't be a problem. japanese people have done a lot of live actions from anime and they look good too when they wear blonde hair. i guess there should be no problem with that. well, that's all i can say. i still prefer asians to act for dragon ball live action.

justin who? the only justin i know is timberlake. hehehe. my dad is japanese american and my mom is filipina chinese. i hope this movie turn out to be good for there are a lot of japanese people who are really going to be hurt if the movie will not turn out to be nice.

That is good news!Finally! A live action dragon ball movie! I have been waiting for this for years! It does not matter to me really who is portraying son gokou. As long as the one portraying gokou looks like gokou in the anime and looks asian. Can't wait for dragon ball movie! Is there a trailer in the internet??

That's good thing. Unfortunately, no Vegeta, the famous enemy and friend of Goku. I like Dragonball Z due to a Aussie Girl and it gives me energy, dignity, Pride and courage for my life. Well, according to the official website, Goku is played by Justin Chatwin while Piccollo will be played by James Marsters. I have not watched Dragonball anime before, just DBZ and DBGT. But it should be a very good and popular movie because of high popularity. Goku's Kamehameha wave and Piccolo's Special Beam Cannon will be the final moves in the movie for determining which fighter will win the battle. KAA-MEEE-HAAMEE-HAAA!! has been a famous Quote in the whole Dragonball series. Many animes have been successfully modified to live-action movies such as Initial-D, Transformer. As a result, DB movie should also be a successful movie ever. GOGOG GOKU!!

Im a dbz fan and i think making it into a movie would just be a bad idea. The series would be much more memorable of they didnt keep making sad attepts to bring it back.

They have been so much rumor for dragon ball. Every year there is a new one. I will not believe it until they really started it. And for the moment on IMDB they only saying the movie will be release in 2010. So there is can be a lot of changes until then. It would have been great to have an all asian cast, but I think they want it to be more commercial. But I'M sure fans all over the world would have watch it even if there was actor that they don't know (I don,t even know Justin Chatwin and i'm canadian lol). And anyways, it's still only a name for the moment. We will see later who are the actors in that movie :)

U r being a bit Ideadlistic, just because it is asain based, it doesnt mean all of them have to be asain, it mite not be as popular in the west, although if u have a bit of both, u may have a successful film world wide.

I looked it up as soon as I saw this post. I had been hearing rumors about a movie for years. I hope the director does Dragonball justice. It's one of my favorite animes and I hope it doesn't get the Hollywood screw up. I also wish it was going to be about later episodes. I wanted to see Vegeta and Trunks! :P Ha ha. I'm kinda disappointed, but I know I'll watch it anyway. Just because I love that anime.
