I must be a big dummy my friend has been telling me for years to get DSL and I would tell him it was to much money to spend well the other day I got a letter from AT&T telling me my dialup was going up to 22.95 a mo. Well I called them and asked them why was it going up and that I was told that I could get DSL for 19.99 a mo garented for life. He said cause they are trying to get every one to go to DSL. he pissed me off so I told him I would find another ISP before tey go up. The reason I didn't really want to Get DSL was cause with it I would only have 20 hours of dial up per month DSL is not abable where I work so for to get DSL I would have to have a dial up bill and a DSL bill to. Well the next day AT&T called me back and wanted to know why I wanted to cancel my acount with them I told the lady why and she gave me unlimted dialup every month plus my DSL I could really kick my self for not getting it sooner it is so fast and I have a new puter with the vista on it and dialup was just not working on here That is why i'm such a dummy I should have got it years ago Thanks all for readin and have a Happy Thankgivings

I just got DSL too. I love it. It's a huge difference!!! See if you can get the rebates with AT&T. You might have a different plan but I got a rebate.

Hehehe. I have a dsl story too.
I got dial-up because I was trying to keep my overhead down, I even ordered limited service. After a few months I realized I was actually getting unlimited service at the lower limited service price! I was very excited about that.
Every one who tried to call me though, were always complaining about constantly getting a busy signal when they called me, so my son said switch to DSL and he would pay the difference.
Which I did. But then when my first bill came it was ridiculously huge, and I hated having to go to my son for money, so I called them and asked them to switch me back to dial up.
It's been quite a few months now, and my bill comes every month with the minimal dial-up charges, but I'm still getting DSL! And for certain I'm not going to call them up and say "Excuse me... I'm paying for dial-up but getting DSL, like helllloooo, what's the problem there?"

DSL is great I know. I use it for 2 years already and when I visit a friend who still has dial up and we need to do something on the computer I am just astonished how slow it is. At first Dsl was very expensive here and we had to pay for each 512mb we used but now I share a connection with one neighbor who had wireless dsl and I can surf as much as I want for 6euros a month.Isn't that great?

I can't get DSL here. I have had dial up for years but finally found someone who would install Wild Blue Satelite Internet. We are paying for 1.0 a month at $69.99 a month and that is the middle of the prices. The lesser one is ten less and the more expensive is ten more. Anyway, our speed is only 75. It is faster than dial up but yet, it goes out when the weather is bad, not even neccesarily here, but wherever the satelite is, and other stuff doesn't seem to work right but at least we can watch videos now and I am all set to play games when my new game site biz launches! I sure hope I never have to go back to dial up again!

DSL has turned the web into a different place for me. I pay $30.00 a month for unlimited service, and it's only eight dollars more than my old dialup. I wanted to get it a long time ago, but the only affordable plan was with my phone company with their bad rep for customer service. A new company came to town and as soon as they wired up my neighborhood, I signed up. It's really worth it, even if it's more expensive.

For me the decision to go high-speed Internet was easy because I use it for business. Most of my income is generated online so it's worth it to pay the higher cost compared to dial-up. There are so many things you can do online nowadays.

Yeah, I finally joined the DSL bandwagon too and now feel pretty dumb for having suffered through dial-up all this time, thinking I was saving myself money. Not only is t he DSL saving me money at this point, but it also saves on electricity since I don't have to wait for 15 minutes for my stupid computer to connect to the Internet. Plus, by switching to DSL, I was also able to switch to Vonage for my home telephone and am saving myself at least $25/month. OK, so what had I been waiting for, exactly?

you should have take a dsl long time ago. just like mewe have a dsl connection with a free landline for ever. it is really great that we have not a broadband for a very low price considering the price of landline is now free. it now just cost $24 for a dsl and a landline for ever. i really don't know if this is still expensive for you. but for me this is cheap enough for us. and it is really great that we are able to have connection for the wholel day everyday. and it's really beautiful to be able to see this site everyday. since it's really expensive to have a prepaid connection. i have been connected with this dsl for 5 months now. since it was an only new offer from our local telephone company. it used to be that we have to pay separate bills from our landline and broadband. it was only now that they offered this low connection to the internet. as soon as this dsl became affordable to us i immediately have us connected. at first i was really wondering about the commercial that says that we will have free landline since we have already a landline but they said that they will only upgrade our account and they will no longer add a landline. we will only no longer pay for our landline and we will pay for only for our dsl connectino. it's really great that we have many telephone companies now in our country. because of competition the prices of dsl and landline connection are going down. the competition on telephone lines opened the way for the competition of better services. before when there was monopoly on the landline company, the company was usually giving bad services. now they have improved a lot in order to stay on the business. and they are now serving more people and faster now. they are really challenged to meet the need of the people in our country and not just to make some big profit. it's very great that we are now improving in our communication business. thank god that it's really great that we can enjoy so many different ways of communication for a very low price. though i am still hoping that this will going to get low more especially in the charges of the cell phones bills. though the landline and the dsl bills aer not cheap, still the cell phones bills are still expensive. and i will want to see that we are able to connect or make a call in the cell phones really cheaply.
