rocks on the side of mountains or on other public things like train cargo box carriers, etc? Its like they have to publicize their relationship with someone by spraying their logos or boyfriend/girlfriends name, etc. What bugs me the most is driving and seeing it sprayed all over a big rock, even half way up a mountain, like how in the heck did they get up there and what did they hold onto when theres hardly nothing to hold onto in the first place?Did they develop spider-man power or what?!How do you feel when you see this and that its just another way of helping to dirty the world by this graphitti spraying??There is a limit when it comes to nature.

I am at University, and try as much as I can to spray any wall inside here I can find.
1-Freedom of expression
2-I want everyone to know what I believe in
3-I pay a lot of money, an awful lot to study here so repainting walls is not one of their worries.

but wouldn't you rather that more people got education?Freedom of expression means you can say your opinion not write it on other people's stuff.

You're out of your mind if you think because you pay tuition you are entitled to do that. Who do you think you are? Express yourself on a piece of canvas, not on someone else's property!

I think that there is a line between graffiti being vandalism and art. spraying your girlfriends name on a wall well that is vandalism, no matter how you look at it. Graffiti is a lifestyle, a culture, a mecca all it's own, and in the last 10 years more and more people have come to except graffiti as not only and art form but as a cultural reference. Graffiti at one point in time was seen souly as vandalism, however many minds have changed after seeing how amazing some of the graffiti work can really be. Some have even gone as far as to commission graffiti artists to do murals and art shows, so I guess it all depends on where the graffiti is done. there is a limit I mean everything is someones and we all have a right not to have our things spray painted... Even if some of the illegal graffiti work is amazing it is still illegal.

i think they feel the need to express them selves, they are generally people who want to be heard out , ofcourse there are some who are plain wicked and want to spoil the natural beauty of thing but the innocent ones lol want to be heard out but any ways if there is an approved place fpr graphs its ok other wise its not good.

Hi apple:)
It's true what you said about being heard and this is one way to really get peoples attention and then the others who just do it for fun and ruining natures beauty.

Hi,i have nothing against it,but when it comes to things in nature like rocks,i find it silly to write a boy/girlfriends name on it,haha.

I view graffiti as an art form. I think it helps to show the 'personality' of the city... but I agree with you that it has no place in nature spots. A beautiful mountain side with the words "BS loves JD Forever" spray painted in big huge letters is an eyesore and ruins the pristine scenery. Just my opinion.

No,its true,i agree with you.Nature should be left the way it is instead of painted on with letters that we all know they do not last most of the time pertaining to relationships that is.

Exactly! Pertaining to the relationship that is! The graffiti probably outlasts the fleeting relationship by 100 years! Well, close enough anyway.

I think it depends where it is. In the skate park it kinda belongs. Also, some graffitti artists are just that, artists. The pictures they do are amazing! the stuff you're talking about though.. yah I could leave it. I can't really complain though because I've graffittied before. as a youngster.

This is a difficult one because graffiti enrages me as I feel it is an eyesore. However, there are caves in France and other countries which have celebrated wall paintings by very ancient men and these are celebrated as true treasures and high art.

So maybe at some stage in the future these bizarre creations will also be researched and treasured, or maybe if there is intelligent life out there in space it will take one look at the stuff and turn the spaceship round!

Hi of course those caves are beautiful things that has been done long ago like prehistoric times by our ancestors but...nowadays its a different story,we use paint that is lethal for the enviroment and they used clay paint.I prefer the cave pictures with the little men dancing, animals and hands. Now its logos, gangs and big words stuck up on something, haha.Yes,hahaha, they better leave scared out of their wits, hehe.

Unless someone is specifically invited to paint on someone else's property, it's unwelcome graffiti, and shouldn't be there. I get especially pissed off when people do this on mountainsides or rocks. I don't want to see people's "art" put on a rock face. Nobody has a right to spoil nature like that.

I think graffiti should not be done on nature's beauty, however, while I am waiting on a train going by...I love to look at the grafitti. As long as it is not swear words...
