Slow Internet Connection

I have been bugged by slow internet connections every since I learnt to send my first email. I have used dial up, and it has driven me almost nuts. Right now, I am using now another form of dial up, though it is not as bad as the first dial up connection I had. This is a data card, one of the most popular ones in India. It satisfied me perfectly for two months. But it has been behaving like a brat for the past one week.
A low internet speed used to drive me absolutely insane a few months back. But, now I have learnt to take things in the right spirit. I called up the call center of my service provider. A good thing about call centers is that they employ charming youngsters with attractive voices. A guy with a charming voice took up my issue, and I took my own sweet time telling him what was wrong. He advised me to install a internet speed booster.
I downloaded the speed booster yesterday. It has increased the speed a bit. How would you usually react to a page that takes ages to load? Do you know any good speed booster software that satisfied you? Any idea how it works? I will be happy to receive your informative posts.

There are many reasons why your internet connection get too slowed. Perhaps the LAN card is not appropriately installed or it needs to be reinstalled again.
Secondly, maybe your disk space memory and SD-RAM are not enough to support the current running program, therefore, ending up being sluggish and slowed, affecting your internet connection and loading page.
Thirdly, perhaps you have accidentally installed spywares in your computer. Spywares do make your computer slow as well. Spywares can disguise as a legitimate software, so beware. I advised that you scan your computer with an up-to-date antispyware or antivirus for you to verify.
If none of them are the main cause of your problem, then it would be the internet connection itself is the main cause or culprit of this issue. Probably, switching an internet service provider would be the best solution if it is indeed the internet connection itself is the main problem here.
Have a nice day and hope this would help to you in any way.

I don't think speed boosters are helpful for dialup. I have tried a lot of them, but they are not effective. Using speed boosters opens you to risks of privacy invasion because the of their mechanism which is:
1. the URL you opened will pass through their server
2. their server will open the page for you
3. all the images and other compressible stuff in the page will be compressed resulting to loss of quality of photos
4. sending the compressed version to your web browser
This means that the information you entered will still pass through their server.
I encourage you to check your computers for spywares or malwares, they could have been the problem. Service providers usually don't fluctuate on dialups, only on DSL as dialups require narrowband specifications which they can actually afford to abuse.
