When a new fime comes out some people read the book frist before they see the film while some others do the opposite.
I always read the book frist.Although reading the book usually takes longer to get through than the film, there is somethings special zbout sitting at home, especially on a cold rainy day and reading
in addtion i prefer to read the book and imagine what the place and people look like and how the evenys take place.
Also reading leaves a more lasting impression while after seeing the file most people have forgotten the plot.
What do you think of it?

I used to read a lot but since i was advised by my eye doctor not to strain my eyes too much I've now refrained from reading novels. And because of that i'd prefer instead to see the film. That would cost me less than buying the book and i'll be able to finish the whole story just in one sitting.

It all depends. Sometimes I like the book more because it's more descriptive and everything (Harry Potter for instance) whereas some other things I'll probably never read the book when I would just rather watch it in a movie (Jurassic Park). So it all depends.
I'm a huge movie nerd though so I almost never turn down movies!

I will difinitely read the book first !!! with books it is more exciting as you create your own imagination. I am ussually lost in the story while reading, I feel like I am part of the story. And there are a lot of twist in the book that they sometimes removed in the movie..sometimes the ending changes as well. But after reading the book and you watch the movie...you ussually get dissapointed !!

I also like reading a book before seeing the film adapted from it. I feel book is more elaborate and make me uderstand the flow of the story more minutely. On the other hand, a film based on the book cannot adapt each and every scene. So one misses out on that too.

I would do both. They are two different experiences. When you read the book, you have it in your hand. You can stop at a point, imagine, and re-read if you have not understood something. A film doesn't offer those luxuries, though it is a vastly enjoyable experience by itself. I have seen "Dracula" and I have read it too, and I had two different equally enjoyable experiences.

I always love to read books and i rather read than watch movies..Coz in reading it makes your imagination works and it makes you so eager to finish a chapter to know whats going to happen next.
Films is visual and you get to see whats happening but i still prefer reading coz i want to learn more english.

me, i do both. but i first watch the movie then read its novel.... so that when i get to read the novel i have this mental picture with the scenes... i'm also always curious with how the author craft the words to describe the movie scene :-) but there are times when the movie aint out yet, i read the novel first imagine my own mental scenes then compare it with what's in the movie version :-)

Hi,there! I usually prefer to see the film cause it gives me a more lasting impression though some people say a book does better in this aspect. I think maybe it's because of the sound effect and the actors or actresses. I like seeing movies cause it shows better about the story and the person's facial expression. But if there's a book first and then a movie,I'll prefer to read the books first cause it's better for understanding the things in the movie:) Thanks for the discussion. Have a good day:)

For me ,I would like to watch the film first. Sometimes I'm too busy to read a whole book in a short time and it's not easy for me to understand. So I will first watch the film to help understand the content.

I prefer reading the book first before seeing the film. Most often than not, the book is more exciting and detailed compared to the film adaptation. For me, the best film adaptation of a book so far is the The Lord of the Rings trilogy.

I'd rather books. Many films made on basis of famous kook just end up with being disappointed.

I prefer to read the book first. The book is always better. The movie is often a huge let down if I have read the book first. But I know this and I continue to watch movies after having read the book. Am I a glutton for punishment? I think I just enjoy seeing someone else's interpretation of the details of the story, the characters, the places, the sounds. When I read, the story comes alive in my mind the way a movie does on the screen. So seeing a movie is like reading the book from someone else's point of view. I am always curious, but rarely impressed.
