Dell seems to be a good company and there systems are seemingly robust the only problem I have with Dell is that there is no store that you can really bring it to when you have a problem with it, you have to send it in. I conduct my business on my computer and if i were have a malfunction of some sort of hardware and had to send it in i dont know if i would want my data to go with it without ever seeing anyone face to face. Furthermore what would i do in the meantime while waiting for my machine to come back in the mail. It seems timely but i hear they have pretty good response time. Apple has been extremely innovative in there designs software and it had paid dividends for the company. I would reccomend Apple my only problem with apple is there regular running OS because it is still not really widely used. I also Recommend HP. They have been around for a long time and i have never had any problems with my HP computer.

Hi writerx1,
My suggestion must be based on computer knowledge for the; product (hardware), software, operating system and service-after-sale. Even though I am not digerati, but those factors are valuables for my decision making.
I agree and recommend for DELL laptop computer, as I have been using DELL laptop computer since the last five (5) years and not having any hardware problem as well as their online and offline service-after-sales. Mine is model c5x.
HAPPY DAPPY.

I have got Dell laptop and I have been really pleased with it so far. It runs on Windows Vista. It has got about three hours battery time before it needs recharging. I use Firefox for the Internet an this works well. I use Thunder Bird for my emails. I can receive emails but currently I can't send emails. I will have to consult a computer specialist. Whichever lap top a person buys there many also be few problems to sort out. Good luck with your future laptop.

Well since I don't know which is best other than a Compaq Presario which I have got. Other than that this is the only one I have had.

Since I don't have a laptop, my opinion is going by hearsay. I have heard that the best is a "mac"; but I have not yet tried the mac. I think that dell would be a trustworthy laptop as well. Dell is a great company.

it all depends on country to country and the features you want or it could be the flexibility in configuration also.
their are many companies in the market
DELL, APPLE, HP, LENOVO, SONY VAIO
DELL gives the flexibility to its users that you can choose your own configuration of the laptop that any other company don't provide.
APPLE is indeed a good company they have cool design and col features nothing more and their operating system by default is Macintosh.
HP is a good company in the market too, and if you are in India and looking for after sale services, than hp is the product for you. they have cool design in the dv series and cool features too
talking about lenovo they have a good after sale services, but they have less extra features.
so now you see you can really choose the features for you or i mean the company that suits you

I have recently bought a Dell laptop and it is an excellent machine to use. It brings things up on the Internet in quite a speedy way. It has is fairly light to carry. I have a nice backpack to carry it around in. I mostly use it for Internet and Email but as I get to know it I want to use more applications on my laptop.

i perfer to apple, because i am a graghic designer, apple is more professional for design to design and use differsent software,
different brands have different function, which brand for you it's depend on yourself. so think more and choose a suitable for yourself.
