Ha ha ha... good topic.. Why we need to sleep and the role of sleeping. Honestly, I do not know.
We need to sleep to as our bodies regulate sleep in much the same way that they regulate eating, drinking, and breathing. This suggests that sleep serves a similar critical role in our health and well-being.
Best is even Scientist have developed several theories that together may help explain why we spend a third of our lives sleeping. And the answer is not specific.

Hi shaukat,
if you are doing a normal work, that is not heavy.you feeling more sleep.its due to your lack of interest.
If you are doing your job as extra hours or working heavy, you need sleep is most.
Sleep plays a key role in our body.all organs need rest or shift of work.for proper working of mind and body sleep is important.
I love sleeping.now i sleep for few hours only.
Always keep in touch.
Happy myLoting:-)

I do not able to get how old are you and how long you have this problem.
However please note that in our brain we have got Sleep centre. You can tune this sleep centre to your wish by way of practicing. For example put an alarm for waking up in a purticular time. Wake up when alram rings. When you practise this for atleast 15 days, your sleep Centre will set to that time. After that you dont require an alram to get up at that time. The sleep Centre will act like an alarm and you will get up exactly at that time. This is not my own idea, but this is Science. I have experienced this When my dotor told me.
There no medicine to avoid sleep. The same Science says that if you with held your sleepyness with any kind of difficulty for a week. Ther after you will not feel sleepy when you want to work.

Hi sheenshaukat. I am refering to normal night time sleep. Sleep is very Important to health. During sleep our internal organs has the chance to rest n repair. When our body is tired, it will signal us to rest (sleep). Imagine a auto blender...when it is overheated it will automatically stop.
But if you are the type who tends to fall asleep very often in a day (even when you hv enough sleep at nite), it means your body is lack of oxygen going to the cellular level. Yes OXYGEN.
