Who all has gotten Halo 3?

I know this is a very popular game and it came out for the 360. I plan on getting this at some point considering I don't have a 360 yet and it would be pointless to let it collect dust and not bother doing anything until further notice.
From anyone who has actually played it, did you enjoy it? Would you personally recommend it to everyone? I've played the 1st 2 Halo games. Mostly I've played the adventure mode more than any other part. In fact, I haven't really had much of a chance to really try online play yet.
What do you all think of Halo 3 and do you think this will be the end of the Halo series or will a new trilogy come out at some point? I would imagine if it's popular, Microsoft will want more Halo games but hopefully not too many and it can get confusing.
I can see why a lot could be made considering how popular it is. Maybe this series has become the next big thing in the gaming world. At the rate it's going, do you think it will be bought and played by everyone.
Any other thoughts on this? How is the online play by the way?

the online is great it is like Halo 2 but has many added features and the equipment makes a big difference.the story is still solid but the game last around 6-7 hours on an easy diffculty. I recommand playing legandry and maybe have a friend or 2 and play through on coop.I have all 1000 achievment score from it but i still play if that gives you an idea of replay value.

Sounds great. I will have to do so when I get Halo 3. I know I'm going to get that and also a 360. Of course, I'll get more 360 games along the way so it doesn't look like a waste. I bet they went all out on Halo 3 didn't they.

I haven't played this game much but the multi-player is pretty simalar to the last two games the only diffference is there are new wepons and ships. i would recomend this to everyone because it is still the best multi player game out the. Hopefully i will get the game for christmas!!

Sounds like a good goal actually to tell you the truth. I haven't had much of a chance to really go in depth with the multiplayer style but eventually I will. I'll try with the 1st 2. I liked the adventure mode in both games and I'm sure the 3rd one won't dissapoint.
