Names of the Heroes...a deeper meaning?

Could the names of the heroes be more than just names? I was recently thinking about the name Adam and that he is the oldest hero we have been introduced to as of yet (400+). Could his name have to do with him being the first hero, ie patient zero(Adam as first man)? Most of the heroes have Biblical names and I was also wondering if they show characteristics of the people who had these names. What do you guys think?
