should everyone have a computer at home

If possible, yes, every household should have a computer, with internet access. We are in the Internet Age, with technological advancement, we should not stop human civilization from progress. In truth, this is not quite possible, especially in third world countries or in war torn countries.

No. there are many communities in the world that live without electricity. I have heard of a cheap computer which runs on a battery that can be cranked. This is a good idea for third world countries. I don't think everyone needs a computer... Lets get everyone homes first.

If you can afford to buy a computer then I think you should get that. It is very handy thing to have cause it is very useful from all point of view. You can learn a lot of thing with the help of computers. Specially students get a lot of ebooks to refer on the net and that is very useful cause now a days books are very costly and no one can afford to buy a lot of books on the same topic. But you can sure download them, on you computer and refer them for study and that is a cery nice thing to so.

Computers aren't for everyone, but I believe everyone should be given the opportunity to become familiar enough with them to decide for themselves..

I beleive ita really essential in todays world for every1 to have pc at home,Many of the work load can easily be creeped down by the use of pc e1 at home...really easy to type those lenghty letters very quickly without paining or straining urself...moreover i feel its the need of the hour to have computers at home not jus for gaming but also for helping kids to go far in their studies if used properly....

I think everyone should at least have a computer at home and it would be great if everyone can afford to have at least a computer at home. The sad reality is that not everyone can afford to have one at home and there is nothing much that we an personally do to change that.

Yes, I think computer is a necessity in every home but only if the family can afford buying one. Like here in my country, not even half of the population can afford to eat three square meals a day so that wouldn't be a priority for them. There are other more important necessities that they have to deal with.

it depends on the necessity of an individual. there are poeple who cant live with out computers. there's are also others who dont care about computers.
