The Up with People Cast B is in the Philippines right now. They arrived last November 13. There was one who blogged about her first hours of experience in my country. The experience they had was highlighted with the bombing in the house of congress. But they seemed find the country OK. There was one who wrote that they are staying in a well-off home at the moment, but the Community work they do entails the opposite of the things they enjoy with their host families. They are doing community work in the slums, which I find it OK for them to realize how lucky they are as invididuals. Anyways, my question. Have you been to other countries? Have you been to manila? Have u seen the slums? Have u been to the Philippine countryside? Have u seen the so-called paradise? Just share. :P

There are lots of places that is worse to tour at than our country, I believe Philippines is still a pradise that has lots of unexplored places that is waiting to be discovered. Plus, our country offers the best vacation packages to tourists around the world. Though I haven't been to any foreign land, my relatives who works and resides are the living proof that Philippines is still the best place to enjoy life at. We can be close to nature, without even worrying of wild or venomous animals that roams around the place..

Looking at the perspective of environment and the place itself. I can call this place a paradise indeed but if you look deeply into the poverty levels, economic and political instability and all of the angles involve I cannot say it anymore. For the foreigners that come and praise our place as a beautiful place I thank them at least they are the ones who can really appreciate our country in turmoil right now. And besides they also enliven our economy at some point since they bring in their money to spent which many could benefit from it.

i'm from this country... i've been to japan and china and though it was a brief stay, there a lot of great spots there. Here in the philippines, what gets so much attention is manila where the news are. but for anyone who have been in the countryside, you'll love to stay here. i mean i am filipino, and there are still a lot of spots in this country i long to visit, the beaches of pagudpod and palawan, the mountains of bukidnon, the hundred islands, sagada, and a whole lot more.. you'll love these places and you'll love its gentle people ( i mena in the countryside).... been to dumaguete? a month won't be enough to get a hold of its beauty...

I wanted to go to dumaguete. I have searched about it online and even made bookings, but I cancelled the trip because I have to prioritize one trip. But hey, yes, i still want to know other places in the country. Cheers. :)
