do u put off sleeping for no good reason?

Hi I can be quite sleepy but I will sit and and watch tv or read .past my bed time simply because 'i dont want to sleep 'i dont know i dont understand it my self but I feel like a a kid putting off bed time although i know i will hate myself in the morning ..does anybody else do this ..and why is it that we do this?..childhood phobia of sleep or just plain immature or what? let me have you views people :)

if one is still young, it is but normal that he put off sleeping. but if you're in your prime, this is not a good thing. i, too would rather watch TV and surf the net rather than to sleep. actually, yesterday i slept around 6 in the morning and woke up 1:30 in the afternoon. i'm trying to sleep better for i don't want this to be a habit. like i've mentioned earlier, when you're i your prime, this is not a good habit to have

if you always do this ,that's you body decided i think , you can ask your doctor for some special method ,or you can do a lot of excercises before go to sleep ,you feel so tired and maybe don't have energy to watch tv and do other things i think .

No, i don't put off sleeping unless there's really something important for me to do and with important i mean urgent. I am a lark, so they say, meaning i sleep early and wake up early. And as much as possible i stick to that sleeping habit. And besides, why put off sleeping for no good reason and torment yourself waking up the next morning with less sleep? Doesn't sound a good idea to me.

guess this repsonse comes a little late..but it is current for me right now.. Reading really helps me sleep and get wound DOWN, relaxed and ready for sleeping..i cannot just go lay down if i am not really tired or I will just toss and turn....so i get some nice tea for sleeping cammomile and a good book or some meditation music or DREAM tapes..they are always fun..and it helps me wANT to go to bed.. I have no idea why going to bed is such a thing...for me either...but I just do what ever i need to get rest..because not getting rest..really does effect my ability cope with stress...and most days for me lately have been packed with stressful events...
