Hi lazy bum..opps enigmatic, hee...hee...just joking. Its just your state of mind. When you need to go to work, your subconscious mind will give your body signals to get going. N when you know its a rest day, your subconscious mind tells your body to take a rest as well. The mind is a very powerful 'organ'. And hey..since its a rest day just take your time.

Since you are able to get going when you have to, treat your days off the same as when you are at work. Make yourself a schedule or a plan the day before. Then when you wake up, treat it as if it is just as important as your job. If you need to, for example, shower, do some house work, then go shopping, plan a schedule, make a list and cross things off as you get them done. Once this becomes a habit, it will get easier and won't seem so much like work.

Hiya thanks for your advice I gues if I do give it as much importance as my job Im more likely to get started and finished earlier.its all about how your mind perceives it. I do make ckecklist, and crossing stuff of even if it s daily chores gives me great satisfaction..im very much a list person.

You may be lacking in essential viatmins, you have to eat foods which produces energy like protein-rich foods. Try some chocolates, but not much of it. A chocolate bar a day would be enough, it'll help you become more active. Try taking some supplements as well, to help replenish some of the essentials that your body needs to function well.
Lastly, try doing some early morning excercise as you also need early morning sun's rays to help you get some energy..

Well, you should make a list of your daily routine, the things that you should do. Start your list with the things that would caught your interest and the things that you know that you should do. You should be willing to perform and do your task for a change... though it would help that you know what you will do early in the morning.

I don't know the answer to your question because on the days I have off i'm not jumping right out of bed. It's my day off I want to be lazy all day.

Hi! Enigmatic7, many people have the problems like you. If you determine to change your situation and become more active, I suggest the 21 Day Habit Theory to you. Have you heard that before. It means that you have to do something 21 times before it begins to become your everyday routine. The first step is to decide what you want to do, and schedule time to do what you want to do, then once you reach your 21 days, congratulations! Some of my friends used to be lazybones, they tried to follow the 21 Day Habit Theory and they succeed finally. Have a try! Good Luck!

I will definitely take it up, sounds like a bit of challenge , maybe in the beginning at least ..im really not a great routine person i wonder if i can really stick to it after 21 days ..well they only way is to try it out..thank you for a very different take on my problem. :-)

I don't think that there's a cure for laziness. You just have to set in your mind that you have to work and keep going. There are times that you really feel like you don't wanna work and you just want to stay on your bed. But we really have to prioritize things like which things are needed to be done and what's next to do... aight???

Hi ya! you sound like my brother :-)hehe, the thing is I do get the important things done, but because i waste time in the beginning of the day, i dont get all the extra low priority task done..until they finally become high priority ..or they just stay on the back burner!

I'm a lazy bum too. But, that was 2007.
I'm getting my engines started for 2008. Sometimes you just need a rest.
