Hi and Hello fannylao.
I don't think so. The reason is, writing a letter is not just for asking but for soul feeling. Maybe, writing is such nagging thing, but for people who receive the letter, they will having a feeling that cannot be write.
How do you feel when somebody sending you a letter? Happy right? So, write a letter to your special someone, don't stop. It will make your partner more love you than before. trust me.LOL!
HAPPY LUCKY.

In my point of view, I think people will never stop writing letters.
Handwritten letters are very much different from emails, sms etc. It has the personalised effect and nothing beats a letter with an emotion that goes with it.
I may be old fashioned, but i am willing to wait for a month to receive a handwritten letter than a few seconds for an email.
Well, there are always exceptions - like if emergencies.
