ONce I was on the phone in the kitchen and I felt something near my foot and I thought it was the cat, but when I looked down to move my foot, a mouse ran over it and under the fridge! Then I had to explain to my Mom why I had just yelped in her ear. :-)
I guess that is kind of similar.

Well, after unsucessfully trying to prod the cat into remembering his long lost hunting instict, we finally had to resort to putting some mouse poison in once of the cupboards, but I don't know that any mice ever ate it. We did find where the mouse had gotten in (hole where the gas line came in) and plugged that up, and didn't see any after that. I did learn that roaches are apparently drawn to mouse poison, though, because when my BF went to throw out the poison, there was the biggest roach I've ever seen hiding in the poison box! (well, palmetto bug really, but close enough). Then it was my BF's turn to yell (but don't tell him I told you!). ;-)

Well, not personally to me. But my ex-brother in law when he was a teenager snuck out of the house and apparently his grandmother's wig had fallen off of the edge of the couch and landed on the floor while she was asleep and when he snuck in he thought it was a very fuzzy animal and he kicked it and ran to his bedroom. On another occasion, my ex-mother in law had her dog run into the house from outside with a racoon in his mouth as a gift.

I thought I saw some goblins in my house, but I was six at the time and it was a Fairytale book that was open. Also sometimes when I am half awake, well I imagine I am in the first house we lived in in Winnipeg, and go the wrong way to the washroom. Also when we just got back from our trip, I thought I was still on the cruiser, so well I thought that my closet was the washroom until I reversed myself, but I have never mistaken a toy mouse for a real one. When we had our cat, it would make quick work out of any mouse, toy or not.

Thank You for being a good sport. I did a post om my teeth so I don't mind when people laugh at me when it's something silly. There's not enough laughter in the world today. I have to tell you TerryZ I had a good laugh on you today. I have never met you in my life but I had a vision on you standing there and screeming your lungs out. Then I could just see you looking at this mouse, and poor hubby standing there with his hand still on the light switch. hehehehehe. Oh a laugh feels so good. I had to share this with my husband when he came home for lunch and he thought it was pretty hillarious too. Again Thank You for being a good sport and sharing this !!!

HAHA!...oh, I could so picture that with you standing there screaming, hahaha!
No, no mice in my house but what happened to me once, and let me tell you I learned my lesson really fast, is that I saw some of Kash's black hair on my beige carpet and picked it up...low and behold, it was a wolf spider!..talk about jumping through the ceiling and getting the heebie jeebies really fast and like, dancing around going EWWWW! EWWWW! EWWWW!
NOW I always grab my glasses to see what it is before I pick anything up, LOL!!!!!......Lesson Learned really quick!

Ha. My cats brought in a REAL mouse last week. I couldn't catch it for a long time! They kept catching the poor thing and torchering it and then letting it go. I hope they never do that again.

No, not with a toy mouse. But I have had many experiences with live mice. When I was younger, about 15, I opened my sock drawer, in the morning, and grabbed a mouse instead of a pair of socks. I didn't even notice till I sat on the bed to put my socks on. I nearly freaked. Of course I dropped it right away and it scrambled under the bed and disappeared.
I was staying with my mom for a couple weeks, just recently, and I saw she had mice so I set up 4 traps and put them around the house. Two in the cupboards, one in the livingroom and one in the bathroom. In a matter of three days I caught 14 mice. Most of them were little babies, so she must have a couple nests in her walls. After about a week of no mice catching I think we got them all. I hope. I am now back at home so I told her to keep the traps set just in case.

I once stepped on my cat's play mouse and completely flipped out. I ran to the neighbors house screaming that I had stepped on a rat as big as a dog.
I've never been so embarassed in my life, as when the neighbor came out of my house with that little pink rubber mouse in his hand.
Sheesh..
