would you rather have an unhappy life with your faith being tested relentlessly, and in the end you go to heaven.....or...would you rather have an exciting life where everyone loves you, you're popular, your life has lots of sin, involves lots of s3x, drugs and money, little religion and end up burning in h3ll. be HONEST. because lots of ppl are making decisions based less on religion and more on what they want to do. i know doing what you want to do may sound right, but i think that is the stupidest thing. it is irresponsible. sometimes i don't want to go to work, sometimes i don't want to share, sometimes i want to lie...but i don't. a lot of times i feel unhappy, but i never feel unfulfilled because of my religion.

"i'd rather live my life thinking there is a heaven then finding out there's none than live my life thinking there is no heaven then ending up finding there is one." I quote this from an important person, I can not remember who though. But I think, this one answers you're question. I just want to say though that if everyone loves you or if you're popular, it does not necessarily mean you're sinful. I'd like to think that doing what you want does not always mean you're doing something bad. These kinds of thoughts are very misconstrued, especially if they are taken literally.

I think that life is what you make it. Religion does play a large factor in many people's lives. I have my own beliefs but am willing to listen to what other people have to say as long at they tell me but do not preach to me. I like many people hope to get to heaven one day.(just hopefully not for a long time as I'm having too much fun living at the moment.) But if you make life all about religion and nothing else the question I would have to ask would be-what else is there in life that you could be missing out on. Life is a journey and we should try to experience as much as we can.

Actually, you can be happy in both worlds that is here and heaven. It's not boring to live in accordance to your faith and it really depends on how you view happiness. If you're a worldly person then your happiness is of here which is temporary but if you're spiritual person then your happiness is heavenly which is eternal. I'm experiencing hardship also and there are times that I got depressed but I know it's for a moment. The question is, are these people who are famous and loved by many, powerful, afraid of no one and are having fun really happy or are they empty? For me, yes, I rather be unhappy here but happy sometimes and still be very happy in heaven with the Lord.

I am a little puzzled as to why you think you would have to have an unhappy life to go to heaven. My God wants great things for me and wants me to be happy here on my journey toward heaven. I agree people tend to only consider what they want now a days and don't think much about what they should do. People who are only interested in leading a sinful life can't complain if they feel they are going to hell.

I have often had this question when I was christian. I no longer am christian and have a religion which is more inline with my personal beliefs. I enjoy trying to live life by these rules. It makes me feel accomplished. Also, I do not believe in an afterlife or a heaven.

I dont mean to be harsh since you obvuiously believe. Yet i cant think of any reason to BELIEVE. Religion is just a mass fraud. However just to answer your question, i'd rather be in the middle, not good and not evil. Because that is what everyone is like. Hell and Heaven are just stories, I respect myself AND the people surrounding me without needing to be scared by invented parallel dimensions.

There are many different religions claiming to be the "True Religion" How is anyone supposed to know what is true and what is false if they all say the same thing? I'd rather live happily thinking that this is the only life I have than live by one of many holy books out there. This is a great question though. I'm sure you'll get lots of very unique responses on the topic.

Being tested is part of every day life. Alot of people feel that God has turned his back on them when that is't true, God is always with you through everything. Giving into sin and living a sinfule life really isn't having a lot of fun, you might think so at the time, but if stop and really think about it your not happy deep inside and something is always missing. Sometimes we just have to stop and smell the roses so to speak and take stock in our lives and see that we really have a lot to thank God for.
