So my kitten is the dumbest cat I've had. You know how cats chase their tails... especially kittens. Its dumb but we understand because they are kittens. Well my kitten was chasing her tail and she saw her foot moving. She started to chase her foot and got it. She started to chew on her foot.. She chewed on it for about 30 seconds before it stopped moving. Has anyone else's cat attacked its own foot? Any other dumb storeis?

ive never had a cat do that, but one of our dogs would do that when he was about coming up on a year old! he would be scratching behind his ear or something and out of the corner of his eye it would catch his attention. then he would spend a good 2 or 3 minutes trying to grab hold of it, while it would pull back when he bit down!! funniest thing in the world!

Well at least another animal is doing the same thing! See I always thought cats were smarteer than dogs! My first cat was very smart. He'd figure things out right away. We could barely even get him going on his own tail. This cat though has proved that theory wrong.

think your kitten is not really chasing her own foot. my cats will suddenly start grooming in the middle of a play session. sometimes they'd pretend to groom after an embarrassing episode. esp when they fall off the bed or the table coz they were too engrossed in playing. :D maybe you want to play with you kitten so that she's stop chasing her own tail.

Normally I do play with her but sometimes she tries to play on my bed while I'm sleeping. At this point I cannot play with her. We bought her tons of mice and cat scratching post house too. She was definately attacking her foot though. She was biting at it the same way she tries to bite at our fingers and toes.

my boy grooms like he is trying to pluck out his claws. don't know if it's how your girl attack her feet. maybe she is just trying to familiarise herself with the various parts of her own body. guess this is a phase that will pass. just like when we were in puberty and learning to get use to our body. :D

kittens are not dumb! they are just playing and discovering their world around them. Kittens are one of the greatest blessings in our lives! They are so sweet and loving. We humans could learn alot from their behavior and unconditional love
