In Canada men and women have equal rights. This means that what is good for a man is also good for a woman. therefore if virginity is important for a woman its also important for a man. But men have never worried about being virgin, so why should women have to worry? In Canada we are very proud of our Human Rights Bill, WE believe that all people are equal! And we treat them equally.Canada is one of the best countries in the world in which to Live!

I personally think that it is all upto the female and her upbringing( parents). If she was raised a certain way that could definetly affect the way a female thinks about making love and its responsiblity. Making love today is very differnt from making love back in the day. Contraceptives and protection( or not invented) wasnt used as much and people's life expectancy was alot lower then today. So, women were married at a younger age and having children at a younger age.Today protection is basically a must because you don know who has what and having children is basically another expense. So, the smart people who understand what it means to have make love and take responsibility for thier actions are safer.

I think this is a very personal issue that each girl must decide for themselves. If you believe you are ready, only you can make that decision. I think it is stupid to lose your virginity for any other reason than love. I for one love and respect my body and would never share it with someone I didn't love.

it has a lot to do with peer pressure, looking cool, etc. bad girls are praised in this country. look at new york, tila tequila, kim kardashian...all sk4anks with their own show. look at tv and music videos there aren't many innocent figures in today's society. so when a girl wants to be innocent she feels as if she's not normal. ALSO it is more accepted. parents now think "well kids are gonna do it anyway, so let me just give them protection" that is a big MISTAKE. no wonder hiv is killing everyone. i am a virgin. i think that if i can't commit to keeping my virginity, then how could i commit to marriage. i don't think kids should be given the facts or protection for s3x. if they want to think their grown and married and have s3x, then let them stupidly do it. if they end up pregnant then THAT'S WHAT THEY GET. if they end up with stds then THAT'S WHAT THEY GET. s3x is for marriage. if everyone abided that rule, think about how fast stds would die out...s3x is serious, not a hobby.

Why does s3x feel good to most? Because biologically we are created to produce more like ourselves. I agree that s3x is not a hobby but it is because people like you who back in the day a women had to be ashamed of her s3xuality and the norm was that you couldnt have a kid or s3x with out being married. i think that that is wrong. Yes, maybe parents shouldnt promote it but, a human has the right to have s3x as long as they were willing and understand the concequences. It is important to be safe, use protection and not be so closed minded. In the 50's their were houses basically like orphanages were people who were ashamed of the fact that they got pregnant would leave thier kids or they would have abortion. I would rather be able to live and cope with the truth then live in some fairy tale land were people dont have premarital s3x. I am also a virgin and my parents raised me to know what is out in the real world and what s3x and marrige is all about. Education is the key. Oh, and thier will always be an overthe top trashy person on T.V. Networks will put anything on that will get ratings. Its called making money.
