His stats are low for the regular season. Maybe he wants to save everything for the play-offs?

Early in the season he looked lacksadaisical but now it appears he is kicking it in gear, especially since Kidd has arrived. I love to see him play well and boy did the AAC just burst into flames once he grabbed his 10th rebound to notch his triple double a few weeks ago. That was probably one of the most exciting regular season moments I have been apart of other than DJ M'Benga blocking Kobe at the buzzer a year or 2 back.
I personally can't wait to see this team peform in the playoffs, although they aren't looking too impressive as far as finishing games so far in the season, they are certainly playing well and putting themselves into a position to win and that's good with a team that is still adjusting to each other.

i watched dirk play last night against the rockets. he was impessive. he wanted the ball, he wanted to score, and he did. it was a come-from-behind victory for the mavericks. although it was said that t-Mac is injured, it was still a good win for the mavericks. and dirk played a pivotal role in the last minutes of the game. congrats mavericks..

I am a hardcore maverick fan and have been one since I could comprehend what basketball is. I too noticed Dirk isn't contributing much in games. I guess as a team we realise that the playoffs is what counts. Last year we had one of the best seasons in franchise history only to have the worst post season since we rebuilt this team. I'm not too worried about the regular games. Sure I love it when we win, But Im tierd of winning games and not winning the one that counts. We need a championship in Dallas. We are starving for it.
