Does Music during a burrial bring relief to the bereaved or add to the trauma?

In my culture, no burial is done without the act of singing. Christians are familiar with such songs as "Till we meet Again...". And then the whole wide world remembers Elton John's "Candle in the wind" when Princess Diana died in 1997. If I may ask, does music during a burrial bring rlief to the grieving, or does it add to the emotional trauma?
