Wow for the very first time in my longest stay and jetsetting to countries in Asia and Australia this is the first time..I miss all the Noise in my country.
Why? Lastnight i just observed as my hubby opened the season for barbie, as the summer stepped in, Where is the bloody noise?? I feel like i feel theres a limit of celebrating and limits of fun..I know for some countries like here in Australia they are very polite to their neighbours by reducing the noiuse. I just compared from my country it is like 24 hour alive and noisy.. im not saying we dont care about the noise pollution happening around the world that aggravates the global warming but the fun..the unlimited fun ive been longing for.
Celebrating your birthday till 5 am in the mornng, karaokae and friends or in xmas and new years time..umm..no wonder some of the foreigners love to celebrate with us in the Philippines..its the Unlimited Noise..with no limits of fun...
In your country, hows the Noise??

I don't miss noise but I miss fun. In the past, when I joined people having 'fun' I would get bored by their empty silliness. People seem to equate 'fun' with being drunk.
I live in the Australian bush now and people's idea of fun is to go to the pub and get drunk and participate in hooliganism or watch a brawl. In the extreme, a group will pile into a car and go hooning around the town. Noisy and stoopid in my book.
Let me watch a good comedy on TV after a lovely meal with my pets at my feet. Not so much 'fun' but definitely contentment.

We don't need ear shattering noise to enjoy ourselves in Australia. The noise pollution act is there for a reason, & that is to protect the peace & quiet of the neighbourhood. There are places where excessive noise is allowed, at clubs, discoes, etc. These are places where there no neighbours trying to sleep.
So those people who really want a great deal of noise can go to suitable venues.
Those of us who like a backyard bbq with limited noise are happy with that. If my neighbours make excessive noise after 1.00pm I ring the police.
