I prefer operas to movies,I usually think that movie is so short and lack of content,so after watching a movie,I have not much feeling or expression.but opera is on the contrary, they are usually more than twenty chapters, and I can taste the feeling carefully, they describe character in details.so I usually watch operas.

I like them both. I watch them both. When a very good movie comes along, i watch. And if there's a good opera, i also do watch. The only difference in these two, to my opinion is that, in movies you can watch the show anytime you want. You just buy the film in dvd or cds then you can have it. unlike in operas that you cannot bring it home. Besides the actors play live in realtime and the presentation is with feelings and real. Thanks

I would suggest that watch only movies of your interest. Because if you do not like the movie it's really boring but if you like the movie and the actors, maybe then you'll be satisfied. Thanks

I have never been to an Opera.. There are no operas in my country.. We just have movies or plays.. And I prefer the former one always.. Plays are a little boring at times...

I can barely sit still through a movie. I would never want to try to sit through an opera. That stuff isn't even in English. I guess I have no appreciation for that particular art. Can you understand what is going on in the opera?
