I read in the papers today bout an American guy who was suffering from splitting headache for 6 yrs and never gave up looking for treatment. A dozen doctors whom he hv seen was unable to diagnose his problems. They cld only give him pain killers. He spent thousands of dollars on all types of treatment. There was a time he talked bout suicide. He even told his wife to leave him as he do not want her to see him suffering. But he never never gave up looking for the right treatment.
After 6yrs of suffering, he finally met a lady surgeon who was able to diagnose his health problem n offered to do the surgery. Today,21/2 yrs after the surgery, the nightmare n pain is finally history.
I wld like to say...whatever illness or diseases you are suffering...do not give up looking for the right treatment. Pray hard for a remedy. Pray hard for wisdom to find the right treatment. Be persistent. Be patient...

Hi mushroomLady! That is a very inspiring story of not giving up. 6 years is such a long time for someone to be patient and persistent but I guess with all the pain that he may be experiencing and suffering somehow challeneged him to look for better ways to cure him and with such patience and persistence, he was soon rewarded with the recovery and thus eliminating the illness. I hope this story will inspire all people to always have patience. Have a nice day!

Hi faith, there are many many people in out there who are suffering in 1 way or another. I suffered from chronic pain for 16 yrs n I never gave up looking for the right treatment. But I must admit I almost gave up when I cld pain killers cld no longer kill the pain. I turned to God n prayed from the bottom of my heart...take me from this world OR give me a remedy. It is not tht I do not pray all the time... It is just not the right timing to heal me. Be patient... God works in mysterious ways. We are being tested all the time.

I just hope that I can be that patient like you and that man who have never given up in his quest. Take care and God bless you more. :)

This story encourages me much. I just start a new life in a foreign country and suffer much from all kinds of things. Wish all the things will be better if I keep working hard.

Thank God for excellent doctors like that. Being in the healthcare industry myself, this story inspires me to do a good job so that I can help patients that much. That would be very fulfilling.

I haven't gone that far yet. I have been experiencing migraines and splitting headaches eversince I was in highschool. Now I am 41, I still experience the same. However, you're right. We have to keep on dealing with the problem on what causes it. I'm praying it would not be bad at all. thanks for that advise.

It is a very inspiring story! Indeed persistence and will to fight odds do help ultimately. Sometime I tend to be careless about health as well as other things also-by resigning to fate and destiny. So I shall remember this story.

That is a good story to share around. many people would have given up and would not do anything more about things and the few who did not quit and keep on trying would always get rewarded in the end. That can be applied to us here at myLot. The earning is not that high and we have to post a lot but if we consistently post and not give up, we would get our rewards accordingly.

I had a friend that had the same problem....headaches all the time. Turned out that he had a cyst just below his nose....his front teeth were bad and a cyst had developed in the roots of his front teeth. He had been doctoring for years!! No migraines any more.

Hi MushroomLady,
Thank you so much for your supportive and motivative words of being diligent in combating any one's disease. I profoundly experience that way as being warded for 7 days at Selangor Medical Center (this year, 2007) for three (3) medical cases at one time; anemia, high cholesterol and appendix.
One's positive minded will wash out our anxiety and hopeless. Positive minded will ease the process of treatment and healing.
HAPPY DAPPY.

My husband suffers terrible migraines, but jokes the only surgery that would help is chopping his head off! lol. Thankfully, he is on medication now that helps to prevent the frequency and severity of them.

yes, I toally argree with your opion. to be brave, never give up when you are in trouble and in illness. Never give up your hope, to believe that you will find the right method to solve the problem you face. The courage is very important for you to fight against the trouble and illness.

Do you know what was causing the headaches? My goodness, six years straight is a long time. I have had migraines where they lasted for days at a time, but never years.
My migraines are caused from severe stress. I take a Motrin(800mg)and then lay down to relax. I know what you mean though about not giving up. I have Borderline Personality Disorder, which is very hard to treat. Most people refuse to treat me, but I don't feel that I have the option of giving up, so I pray and continue my search.
With God's help, I think that I may have finally found a place that is willing to work with me. I thank and praise God for his faithfulness in my life, he is soooooo good.
