I was wondering if anyone else is aggravated by Bree's character..first of all she tries to be ms.perfect..but she's not a warm fuzzy martha stewart..shes cold..and she doesnt seem to have any good instincts as mother or as a wife .or as a woman!
I cant believe she likes George! yuck! and she didnt notice he was totally into her when her husband was alive that she never suspected him..they shouldve changed pharmacists!,,and now her son ( im on season 2).hes got him sent off to juvenile camp ...argh ..is she just put in the series to rile you ..so u c what stupid thing she does next and George to utterly disgust you..at same time totally creep you out!..im scared of meeting some one like George!..what do you guys think?a bout bree's character?

I love Bree for all the reasons for which some would despise her. If first you remember the show is a satire and that it is not meant to be a representation life or true to life, it is fun to have these extreme characters whose flaws and personas are completely exaggerated. For me, that is the fun of the show. As for people like Bree go, she is the best or worst depending on how you look at it of her breed.
If you look at a scene like when she and Orson first did the "do" and he went "downtown", we discover that Bree had never had an "O" in her entire life. Of course she hadn't. She's Bree, miss perfect. And the funniest part of it was, "What does someone like Bree do when she has an incredibly pleasurable experience that makes her uncomfortable? she runs to the emergency room to find out what is medically wrong. It is hilarious and also sad as it is a social commentary taken to the extreme. There really are people so caught up in what other people think that they suck all the pleasure out of life for themselves and for the people in their lives. The part that keeps us going back for more is that the way it is presented is so often amusing.
