i was not allowed to finish my blog i had to unvoluntarily surrender my cats to the shelter because of a impending move i called them and asked them some questions they sent a policeman over here to check on my cats they could not wait to get the kittens from me well they did and now they all except for mom have been euthanized. they claimed the babies got sick so they had to be euthanized well i am just sick about it and feeling wrought with guilt the kittens were fine when they were here. i kept one of the babies and now thinking of the plight that happened to the rest i am sick to my stomach they knew i always cared for my cats better than myself. they left me with my other 5 but it still does not stop the guilt that i feel when i see the survivor of this situation here doing well and thriving i could just cry i feel so guilty

That is so sad. It's a shame that they have to have a limit on how many animals you can have. I believe that if you can look after all the animals and they are not going without then you should be allowed as many animals as we want as long as we do not disturb those around us.

Have you had anybody visit you lately that might have called the police and said that you were mistreating the cats that you have? How many cats do you have and how large is your house/apartment? How many animals are you legally able to keep in your place. You might have thought that you were keeping them in good condition but in reality they might have been sack . Do you take them to the vets regularly for all of their shots and checkups? Sometimes you have to look at things from a different perspective. I cannot say if you are right or not because I cannot see what your situation is. I do feel for your loss and hopefully you will learn the truth and be able to accept the truth whatever it is. no i have noone come to the house i dont socialize that much and every one who knows me knows i dont mistreat my pets i had 10 cats to start with now i only have 5.i have a 4 bedroom house and legally by law we can have only 5 i know they were not sick they ate well did not have any symptoms of illness and were very playful they all get regular check ups and stuff . i regret not taking the babies to the vet i should of done that and also i should of never surrendered them to that evil place well that is something i will have to carry for the rst of my life i am just heartsick about all of these turn of events i cant stop crying and when i see the only survivor of the bunch the kitten that i kept bouncing around and playing i feel even more guilty for what happened

oh dear, i'm so sorry to hear about your plight. sometimes these people are so blinded by the law that they no longer care what is right or wrong. if they could find the kittens a better home then by all means take them. but to take them away from a warm and safe environment just so they can put them down is downright cruel. what are these people thinking of? i'm so disgusted by them.

I'm kind of confused on what kind of questions did you ask them that they sent a policeman over to check on the cats?
And I don't understand how the babies got sick if they were fine at your home....something just doesn't sound right.

i have been on my neighbors black list for a long time but since i have moved i keep to myself and i have nothing to do with any one i told the shelter that i wanted to find out how many cats by law we were allowed to have in the city i said ok thanks i hung up and then a cop came to the door i have had runins with them b4 so they knew my voice. the babies were fine here they were not sick its a little bit strange that when i had them they were fine and now all of a sudden they got sick they dont like me anyways i will never talk to them again and i am going to move so they leave me alone i made the biggest mistake of my life letting them go and i have to live with this guilt til the day i pass away i kept one of the babies and the baby is fine so they did not get sick here

How old were the kittens?... Y eah like some others say down there that it doesnt really sound right and i would be asking them more about it.. Because if your other 5 cats are well taken care of there is no reason or way they can take thoes from you. I would i would go up there and ask.. becasue they cant just look at a cat and say you look sick so will go ahead and put u to sleep. they have to do tests right?..i am not really sure as i have never been inj this situation before but. I am so sorry that this happend to you:( how long was it before they uthenized the kittens?. here i think they have 5 days and if they are sick or not addopted out then they are uthenized:( i know in california they only have 3 days...
I hope that you feel better and just make sure u always take the kitties to the vet for their shots and all... because if they dont have their shots they veary well could get sick and if they were put ina r oom with other sick cats then you know.. But like i said i hope u feel better i cant imagine what u feel like so that si all the advice i could offer:( im sorry

That is horrible. They probably just told you that they got sick so you wouldn't be mad that they were euthanized. They put a lot of cats down because there are too many to take care of. I don't think its right, but they don't always have the funding to feed and care for them. That's why spaying is so important.
