Body language is an important part of communication which can constitute 50% or more of what we are communicating. If you wish to communicate well, then it makes sense to understand how you can (and cannot) use your body to say what you mean. Body landuage work as message clusters for example: Body language comes in clusters of signals and postures, depending on the internal emotions and mental states. Recognizing a whole cluster is thus far more reliable than trying to interpret individual elements. Aggressive body language: Showing physical threat. Attentive body language: Showing real interest. Bored body language: Just not being interested. Closed body language: Many reasons are closed. Deceptive body language: Seeking to cover up lying or other deception. Defensive body language: Protecting self from attack. Dominant body language: Dominating others. Emotional body language: Identifying feelings. Evaluating body language: Judging and deciding about something. Open body language: Many reasons for being open. Power body language: Demonstrating one's power. Ready body language: Wanting to act and waiting for the trigger. Relaxed body language: Comfortable and unstressed. Romantic body language: Showing attraction to others. Submissive body language: Showing you are prepared to give in.

Body language is hard to explain. It's not really a "language" like English or French. It's more like if you wink at a person you are attracted to, to give them a hint. Or when you glare at someone you really dislike, to show your distaste for them.

body language is a term for communication using body movements , or gestures instead of or in addition to sounds, verbal language and other communication. it includes such things as winking, raising eyebrows and facial expression...did you knwo that near ly 90% of all communication is said to be non verbal. You dont need to learn it you already know it ..you may need help in deciphering a persons body movements better but that comes with time and observation and knowledge of a person culture etc also helps. ou need to consider the situation in order to correctly itnerpret body language. A person who crosses his/her arms across the chest is sign that hey are putting an unconscious barrier between themself and hte person speaking to them. Often when a boss is confronting a subordinate thi happens. Ori tmay be hy are cold..buthten there will be soem movement such as huddling or rubbing of arms to create warmth, If however, the situation is amicable then it can indicate the person is think deeply. Hope this clarifies what body language is for you.
