i am a sister to three wonderful brothers, but unfortunately, i do not have a sister :( i get along with all three of my brothers 99% of the time, and life is good with them around, but what exactly am i missing not having a sister of my own?

That's hard to say, because I have been closer with some of my friends than with my sisters. When we were younger, it was nice to have someone to talk to about family stuff who knew what it was like, but brothers are good for that too. Maybe don't look at is as missing something, because you have your brothers. To some people, sisters are everything, but not all. So I can't say that you are missing what I have with my sisters, since you are a different person and would have your own unique relationship. Can't really compare one group of sisters to another, I guess is what I'm saying. My opinion is, you're really not missing anything.

You can actually have friends as sisters, female friends can be just as close and loving as real sisters, probably closer. I have no brothers or sisters and I am an only child but I have so many adopted brothers and sisters who take care of me both on and off line that I am very fortunate. Sometimes what you wish for can turn out bad. If you had a sister you might not get on with her, she might not like you. I have seen so many families torn apart by brothers hating each other or sisters doing the dirty on the other by going off with their man! Be happy with what you have.

I don't think your missing something beside of having a (physical) presence of a sister. Because as what you have said, you get along with your brothers so take every advantage of it. It's not being a sister or a brother that matters but the true relational status that you have with them. Plus I'm sure you have girl friends that will fit in to that 1% that is missing to your calculations. ;)

I know if I didn't have my sisters I would miss out on all those special moments we shared. We talk about boys, bf, relationship problems, private jokes that sisters share and shopping lots and lots of shopping time. We also like to cook together and clean too but not as fun as the cooking part though. We talk to each other for like five hours or more about just things. I don't do that with my brother. I do talk to him but not like I do with my sisters.
