I was channel surfing on the boring sunday evening when I chance upon this movie.
The Hive is a movie that features a swarm of flesh eating ants that made its way through the jungles devouring everything in its path. Fearing for their lives and livelihood, the villagers then engage the services of Thorax Industries Extermination, headed by a scientist, Lennart, to try and eradicate the problem.
When they discovered that the ants have intelligence, Lennart roped in his girlfriend, entomologist Claire, to study and understand what these ants want. As the investigations went along, the bizarre intentions and origins of the ants were discovered.
I personally find the movie a little anti-climax nearing the end. All this fight and studies about the intellengence in ants only to find out that it is actually the result of an alien life form manipulating the ants to 'negotiate' an agreement with the villagers for a share of the land to co-exist.
It was fun to watch till the ants started to form themselves into fists and knock over trees, this is where the plot starts to become lame by the minute. A good watch on a boring evening with nothing better to do.

I have seen the movie before and think that it is kind of cool but in the ending of it,it seems kind of stupid.

I totally agree with you david!
The ending was really kind of stupid.
The ant in the fellow's ear can actually trigger so many emotions in him?
And the emotions actually consume him so much so that he cannot differentiate between reality and fantasy?
That he is in so much pain in his brain that he has to kill himself? Heck, what has an ant in his ear got to do with the pain in his head?

Nope. I have yet to see this movie. Sounds pretty bizzare. It amazes me sometimes what Crazy Ideas get though up and then turned into Movies. Just think of all the people that went into the creation of this movie and thought it was going to turn out all right. I don't understand.

Tell me about it beamer23!
I have seen my fair share of movies with crappy story lines and lousy acting.
There are plenty of those that never made it to the big screen. Only appearing in the silver screen at odd hours.
I guess this is the only chance those up and coming or directors new to the industry ever gets a chance to make movies.
But once in a while, these movies are good. Most times, they are just crap.

I haven't seen the movie, but it sounds like one of those "so bad that it's funny" movies.
