I gues it depends on how you define "almost nothing". You certainly won't be able to make a living on here but you can easily get some extra spending money if you're willing to put some effort into it. My plan when I started was to use the money I earned towards buying Christmas presents. Including what I expect to have by the end of this month I will have earned $100 or so in my 9 months here. That's not a large amount ompared to a real job but it's a nice amount for just hanging out here and making friends. And I've earned a lot more important things than money since I've been here...friendships, information, lessons, stories.

The star is my star rating. It's based on how other users have rated me. The highest is a 10 the lowest is a 1. If someone gets rated lower than a 1 they lose their star. You get a star once you reach 100 posts. You don't earn points for posting photos but you do earn a little money. I don't have any referrals. Referrals will not earn you any points. They will earn you money. You get an amount equal to 25% of their earnings in addition to the money you earn.

Hello there and welcome to MyLot!
The trick behind earning money here is to not try! Just get involved in conversations that you are interested in and you will find you make great friends and the earning money thing goes out the window! That's when I earn my most!
I spend a couple of hours on here a day, in between my freelance writing and house work and stuff and apparently you can earn $10 per month easily, but I'm not really doing it for the money anymore, that's just a bonus!
Just enjoy yourself and you will find that it builds up.
You need to provide good quality posts otherwise people won't respond to them and you won't end up earning any money. Some people come on and post hundreds of one question discussion starters and that just annoys people!
Have fun and happy posting!

Mylot is a great place to hangout with friends and at the same time , make some decent online income for ourselves .
You just have to post responses for those discussions that interests you . And quality really matters here.
Also , making a lot of friends , is another thing that you can do here . In fact having a lot of friends , is an advantage when you come across some queries ie when you start some discussions - your friends will love to respond at your discussions.

I have already earned 91 cents, mylot earnings depends upon your participation. When you are participating, make your sentence as long as can. I'm just here to enjoy, enjoy yourself and you will be suprise by the income that will come along.

My earnings variate, in two weeks I made 6$ and then in the next month I made some 0.20c. I would like to spend more time on myLot each day but I just don't have it. During this holiday season I was baking all the time and we had a lot of visitors then I spent a lot of time with my friends and there were days I haven't even turned on my computer. I one day I made 1,2x$ but that was the most I have ever earned here.

Okay, here is the way I look at it Moonpi ;-) You don't make enough to pay the bills. But, the amount of time that I spend on MySpace doing the same thing I do here...it's a lot b/c I am a stay-at-home mom with no money and nothing better do b/w feedings and cleaning ;-) And you don't get compensated for your participation on Myspace! Not to mention any topics I started or any that I responded to get lost...you have to remember what group you started a discussion in and what ones you responded too...it is really annoying. Here it keeps track for you.
Where you can do cool things to your MySpace layout, you can do so much more here with your discussions. If I am going to spend this amount of time on the comp or on MySpace doing what I like to do...which is this, then I might as well get some compensation for it! As long as they are doing it, you know.
I only started yesterday and it only says I made .14 but what the heck...the amount you make is based on your level of participation and I read that you can even earn for posting images in your discussions. Not sure how to do that yet, I tried to with one of mine and not sure how. The only thing is, is that what you get paid here, you have to pay taxes on, so I am not sure yet if it is worth it.
But what the hay...it's fun. Dontcha think?
