How do you and your husband meet people?

My husband and I are only friends with one other married couple. They are our age and have a baby around the same age as our daughter. The wife and I are best friends and our husbands get along really well, but I wouldn't call them best friends. It would be nice if we could meet a few other couples our age that we share similar interests with. How can we go about doing that? It's so hard to make friends when you're young, married, and have small children.

One night a week, if you can find a babysitter, you can take up dancing, my husband and I did that for awhile until his health got in the way. We made many friends there. Then we volunteered one night a month instead. Then one night a week we volunteered.
IF you believe in a religion that is organized, often, they have services, classes or meetings with babysitters or separate services, classes or meetings for the children.
There are also groups in our area that are for parents with small children. Family Connections is one. Ask around, there may be something in your area. Our Family Connections is in the newspaper with a schedule and lots of different activities for families. Good luck and I hope something I wrote helps you. Take care

Thank you! Those are wonderful ideas. You've given me a great place to start. I never even thought about taking up dancing and I'll definately be looking into Family Connections. I appreciate you're help!
