Christmas comes every year and every year i am so excited about it. Even if there are times or years when things wasn't really going on well in my life, i still have passion and excitement about christmas. I think it's because i look forward to being with my family in celebrating the occasion! Its also because of spending time with my good, old best friends who i only get to see once a year because they either work abroad or far from home, and christmas is the only time they go home and spend their vacation. Its also because i feel the happiness, peace and serenity of people at home, at work, or anywhere else i go. I think christmas "happy" mood can be contagious..
Are there anyone who isn't excited at all about christmas? If there are any, i am sad to hear it. But for those who are, do share your thoughts why you are excited about christmas? Peace guys...

You bet! :-) I am thankful we have this kind of occasion, it makes us forget all our cares and problems for awhile and share any little we have to others lesser fortunate than us. :-)

Yes, other religions do not celebrate christmas because of different beliefs. I think they also celebrate other kind of religious celebration which also resembles christmas of christians. :-)

the only thing that excites me about xmas is the 3 weeks time off work i wil be able to have...trouble is here the weather is always rubbish so cant really get out and about as much as id like to .. maybe i should relocate to a warmer and better climate to make the most of my time off..thyen again i probably wouldnt be ina job where i can take 3 weeks off ..as for xmas itself i find it a totalyy
tedious time of the year..same old faces same old routine.. telly telly and more telly , turkey , turkey and more turkey..useless presents off
useless people and the commercial pressure from shops tv etc to buy buy buy... nahh id be quite happier in a warmer climate with NO xmas at all....if therr was no xmas the only people to complain would be the retailers...everyone else would make up their own ways to enjoy themselves..(ps..im not getting into the religious angle here..for that is another story)

that's part of christmas and nothing in this world has all advantage and no disadvantage.. maybe those are some of the disadvantage of the season...more traffic jam, more shoppers, more things to buy, high prices of commodities, crowded places, cold weather, etc... but if just see and focus on the beautiful side of it, i think its worthwhile to celebrate christmas with meaning and joyous cheers. peace!

I completely agree with you. It is time to give and shre love and hapiness. The satisfaction one gets helping and sharing things with the less fortunte people, is beyond description. One spends time with ones family and friends, it is a very special time and the feeling is great. There is something mystical about Christmas.Hope everyone out there has a good and happy time with their family and friends this year.Peace to all.....

I'm not totally excited about it. I don't have money to buy gifts for my friends and boyfriend and I'm used to doing it. I know that it's not really important but that what makes me feel complete and happy.

Hi hopejordan. For most of us christians, we really look forward to this wonderful celebration not only because of the external things but also because of the religious beliefs we have. Advanced happy christmas!

i love christmas, eventhough it only comes once a year, people are busy decorating their houses, buying gifts, and just plain jolly. i always look forward to it, to spend with family.christmas is only those times where you can catch up with your friends.

If you gonna ask me what occassion I really love and like the most..Its CHRISTMAS!!! I always have a positive and happy mood when Christmas is coming, I don't know why, I can't explain. But this coming Christmas, this is the first time to spend it without my parents and siblings. My husband and daughter just arrived here in New Zealand lasy July of this year and planning to stay here for good. This will be our first Christmas to spend it just the 3 of us. Although this will be the case, I am still excited coz we will be keeping in touch with our families. We will be sending money to them as our Christmas gift. I just wish that they will have a good Christmas even without us...=)
