I remember back a few years ago mix breed was the rage. Everyone was into mix puppies like maltipoo, shitzupoo, chinpoo, yorkipoo and so on. Paris Hilton and others were grabbing them by the bucket full. I love the mix breed not only because they are cute but they have better temperaments and also better health conditions as well. What do you think?

What you're saying about mixed breeds is true...fewer health conditions, better temperaments...but NOT the mixes you're buying at the pet store!!! The cute little puppies from the pet stores are SO inbred, and usually very sickly and badly behaved dogs. Shelters are your best bet, but if you HAVE to have a "designer dog" a breeder is a much better choice. It's better for the dogs, and you'll get a much better puppy!!!

Personally I don't like mix breeds at all unless they come from a shelter or rescue. I just hate it when irresponsible backyard breeders put two random dogs together to create a 'designer breed' (all the poodle crosses, etc) and expect to get thousands for them even though it is nothing more than a simple mutt that you can get for almost free at the shelters.
Not only do they not health test their dogs so the puppies can end up with a wide range of diseases and have bad temperaments (mixes aren't as healthy as some make them sound to be), but they also take away homes that dogs in shelters could use to avoid being euthanized.
Needless to say, I prefer purebred dogs with a good background. My favourite breed is (in no particular order as I can't really decide on one) Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Flatcoated Retriever, Irish Setter and Finnish Lapphund.

I'm not sure what breed my favorite would be, maybe something like a chiuapoo or yorkipoo...little and curly. Right now we have a Cocker Bull, cocker spaniel/pit bull, she dumb as a box of rocks but sweet and adorable. She's also a good watch dog, she just still hasn't figured out that she can't fit in the places the cats do or climb trees like them, it's cute to watch her try though.

I love a few different types of dogs. My dog is a cocker spaniel and she is beautiful. But I also love St Bernards, husky's, red setters and pugs

I love the cocker spaniels they are very loving dogs. The are very good with kids too. My cousin has one. The St. Bernards are so huggable. I have a toy one but never had a real one. I want a real one too. The pugs I like so chubby. My friend had a pug but it past away already. Thanks for your comment.

have not had experience with mixed breeds....my mum has had a couple of German shepherds over the years...so r my fav dog....very projective of their property...yet wonderful loving playful pets with friends and family...i myself have just had a couple of mongrels over the years...which were nice dogs with a good temperament...a friend had a red setter...what loopy dogs if not trained right lol....they need a very firm hand and strict training or else they r crazy!...another friend had a dlmation...they take a lot of training as well
As a child we had a Springer spaniel..was a bit viscous though...think he bite nearly all of us at some point...tho not his fault...he wasn't brought up in the best of circumstances...which i wont go into right now..
A lot depends on how a dogs brought up i think
