this is the figure that i currently see on mylot and stil when i start a discussion about anything,, i get initial responses and then my discussion just gets lost
reasons
1)people not active on mylot
2)people just concentrate on posting rather than trying to reply
i have seen people postin 10 to 12 discussions in one day..i dont get it,some of them just get repetitive, and fooloish at times, i guess we all should try and make mylot the best site there can be
make evryone your friend, interact with the maximum possible
i personally start a discussion once a week,,the reason being i am not able to comeup with anything so interstin so easily,,so i try to reply back wheneva i come back on mylot
COMMON PPL REPLY MORE TO EVERYONE-this will help u to earn money and reputation at mylot
plz fill in your comments, and let me know your side
thnx and tc

This has been a problem from the start, I guess you don't have to get bothered too much about it and just enjoy your time here.
Back then when we were just about 50,000 members, we always receive a great number of responses. Most of them are well-put and always enjoyable to post at. But now, it seems that other members here are just out to post and earn then leave the responses they receive uncommented.
Thank you though for letting us know how you feel, I hope that with this post of your's you'll get to meet more friends that'll help you in every possible way..

Haha, you're missing one... people like me who are too busy stalking their friends and commenting on their posts to actually reply or post many discussions. :P
I'll try to keep a better eye out for your discussions though... I want to help you out. :)

I've been a little caught up in my own little world these days, so I haven't been a very good friend. I'm sorry.
Right now things are very strange for me. I'm finally getting back to work after being out for illness for a long time, my moods have been all over the place, and I've been having some issues with my marriage. So I'm at one of those places where I'm not sure what I'm doing right now.

yes I have four friends I invited a year ago and they none of them ever have been active which really annoys me. I don't post or comment daily as I just have a lot of other things I do at home but I try and get on at least 2-3 times a week and comment and occassionaly if I come up with some question to post that is reasonably intelligent I do that. I think Mylot should delete non active members if not active after 3 or 6 months. They are just occupying space and not participating which is the purpose here to help one another earn income small as it maybe.

Well that is bad but thrue :( Everyone just wants to make more money, not make some friends. That's not like me but I do make some more discussions daily, but only when I see that there is no such discussion... so I first use search, and I would like to recommend to everyone to use search so the site won't be full of junk and repeated stuff.

Hi anuj. thanks for the discussion. You are quite right in number of discussions some people start each day.I have also noticed this.
One day i got notification for a friend's started discussion for 12 times withing 30 minutes! its asurd i think.
Here due to lot many post and all, replies are poor except few discussions which gets loads of responses.

113,255 members now that im posting, and yes i definitly agree with everything your saying. I start a new discussion about once every week simply because i don't feel like taking up space with a topic im not very passionate about. While i like the fact that myspace gives you money for your posts, sometimes i wish they didn't simply because some people are only here for the money and not for making connections with other people. PS: i added you as a friend haha

I'm so busy responding that I barely have time to post anything! I will answer the same subject twice... after that, its just repetitive. I have so many responses and notifications in my inbox that I sometimes can't keep up, so I put them in a folder for later. It may take a while for me to answer, but I will answer!

I always answer my friends if I feel I have something to contribute, then in many cases I will pick another question from the bottom of the page or from the new posts. That way, I can also communicate with people outside my circle of friends, and possibly make new friends.
I am on many sites, but I like to be here... there are more people who are friendly and WANT to interact. Its just so much more interesting! Take care, my friend!

Personally, I mostly reply to posts. I do start my own once I get an idea of something people might respond to. So far, I've had many discussions getting lost because they don't get any responses lol. I check my e-mail everyday just to see if I get responses through either a discussion I started, or someone replying to something I posted in another person's discussion.

I spend alot of time here in mylot posting responses to new discussion and discussions with no responses, I dont mind who posted the discussion as long as it ie interesting. I only post one discussion per day or sometimes i go without posting.

I agree that some of the topics being posted are repetitive and foolish. I have only posted 3 discussions myself. I find it hard to come up with topics that have not been started. replying is easier in my opinion.

I would think that for those people they just enjoy making the money and not really making the connection with others. I also would like to have others enjoy what I have to say, I would like to debate and I will reply to everyone who answers me.

I have two reasons or this kind of behavior: #1 they care more about the money than friendships so they don't want to waste time posting on the same discussion over and over. #2 They are really busy, like me, and get distractd by real life and forget which discussion to go back to.
I made a total of 10 posts in the past two days because I couldn't even use the computer. I'm back at it today and trying to go through only my friends' discussions first. I may not stay on top of things very well but I'm trying!

Hi anuj291, I very rarely start discussions. I wouldnt really have a good one either. Some nights I would be on a roll and could start 4 or 5 discussions. But usually I try to answer as many discussions as I can. The omly thing that stops me from answering all of them is that I wouldnt have an answer or I wouldnt know anything about what the dixcussion is about. :-)

I agree. I have a sick day and I can't find anymore discussions to post to. All of them have my name as the last response! There are some discussions that I just cannot respond to though. Sometimes you have nothing to say on a subject.
